Personally i dont like pvp very much, but in the case of this game i dont see how this would be an improvement.
The PvP aspect is essential to the game, without these mean bad player hunters the game would lose its appeal.
Zombies are dangerous in large groups but they are nothing compared to other players, so this adds an essential element of surprise and danger that make this game unique.
The only thing that is really destroying this game is the hacking, it really makes anything you do become useless and worthless.

I agree to kaay. The best part of the game are the meeting situations with strangers, bandits and little heroes.

There are no real heroes. "Trust no one.", is because of hackers. So not even people with law statuses are trustworthy. And there should be a split from PvP to PvE servers because if there are PvP servers only, then looters are forced into them, risking their hard earned loot to players who take the easy way out and kill for stuff rather than loot like it was meant.

Hey Wastelander, the way the game is conceived, those bandits that go around killing other players are paying a rather harsh price, they can not go into safe zones, so they have to live on what they can loot from other playes or from the environment.
Thats part of the beauty of this game, you have factions of sorts, the good guys and the bad guys, each with their own advantages and disadvantages.
I just wish they continued developing this the right way, given how much groundless hate has been going around, i wonder if the developers have the means to continue or they will be forced to throw the towel because of the huge viral effort to destroy them.

And Wastelander, today i witnessed a rather unusual thing, a nice world chat, where a player was infected and asked for advice, another player said he had vaccines, and he went out of his way to get to the outpost and threw the vaccines on the floor so the other player could pick them, so yeah theres not only aholes playing this game, theres also very nice people.

I play as a survivor and loot to survive. I have been killed by players several times after raiding. Let me say it like this, the game is realistic becasue there would be people working hard to raid and then there would be those that prey on those survivors to get the loot.

I find it thrilling to sneak into a town and sneak past some zombies and find a weapon and some food and water or hat or armor or medicine what have you but I'm sure others find it just as exciting to hunt those players not knowing what they have or are armed with. They are taking a risk too and I bet a few have died trying to ambush a survivor.

I think when I have a character with a lot of perks and geared out I may also try hunting another survivor but that day is far from now.

I did not know that about the safezones, I know I have seen thugs in the safezones. I personally have talked to a survivor ingame and then met at the safezone on accident. I was talking about how I play to survive and have no wish to harm another survivor but I would defend myself if attacked. I also mentioned that I wasn't ready for PvP because I didn't have much in the way of guns but I did have an empty shotgun in my vault but no ammo for it though I had a lot of food and water. They asked me if I would give them some food and water and I did, they then droped a shotgun and 24 rounds for me to use. That was so cool. Not everyone is out to get you but out in the game away from the settlements why take that chance?
