To All Those Scammed by WarZ- Don't Let It Happen Again
First, I just want to say that like many people here, I bought the game before it was even on Steam. My story is the same as many other here- terrible game, lying developers and the eventual realization that Hammerpoint does not have the talent to implement even one tenth of the promised features. The game is a pure cash grab and HP stopped trying to disguise that fact soon after launch.

However, unlike some people here and on the WarZ forums that were trying to get a refund, I luckily used a credit card (CC). I was able to get my money back because I was de-frauded like so many others. If you lost your money to the con men over at HP, at least you can prevent it from ever happening again. I always use a CC for purchases. Doing so gives you instant protection against fraudulent merchants of all kinds. My CC immediately credited my account while they did an investigation. They ultimately determined that HP was a fraudulent company and my refund became final shortly afterward. There is also an added bonus to this process. The CC company automatically slaps the merchant with a fee of up to $150 for failing to settle the customers complaint.

I am truly sorry that anyone lost their hard earned money to this type of company but everyone can use this experience to learn about your rights in these situations. Once you pay cash or equivalents, you are at the mercy of the merchant. In cases where the merchant is unethical, you have no chance of getting satisfaction. While CCs can have their downside, they offer superior protection against this type of fraud.

It's only $15....

OMG THAT'S SOOOO MUCH MONEY!!!! .... no it's not. Now if this was $40 or $50 then maybe this post would be necessary but for this game it is not.

So you're saying because it's only "15$" that it's ok to scam people. Or that there is a minimum liimit for a developer to reach before saying "hey that's a rip off".

ScamZ Meaning providing false features in the game. Overall misrepresenting the game through screenshots, the obvious lackluster updates. They're "updates" are features in the game; new ways to line their pockets. Adding items to the marketplace takes priority over obvious and much larger issues the game has. The development of the games progress and updates is a clear sign they don't have a clue how to implement what they want to do with the game. It was clearly a money driven release on making quick money and taking advantage of the gaming community and DayZ hotness. The anti-hacking system this seems to be a "made in china" version. A developer who endorses cheating and has been caught cheating and selling the hacks to the community. Makes you wonder why they're so transparent on the cheating in their game. Hrm. http://warzscam.tumblr.com/

I could go on and sound like a broken record but clearly the people in opposition to this game are not reaching to the community and showing them this is much more then a game people dislike or "only 15.00$". I know I'm missing much more, I've just been repeating myself so much on these forums because it's criminal what they're doing and they're getting away with it.

You either haven't played the game or you haven't been ScamZ'd then. Trust me your time will come. Be a good player and let that K/D ratio look nice and you will be on that watch list soon enough. Then prepare for account ban. Or you could simply voice your opinon on the official forums or maybe even here and exspect a ban. It's happening; users are getting kicked off the public servers because they want refunds and or dislike the game or simply even being constructive in their critisim is getting them banned. Why? Well according the their TOS they can ban your for whatever reason without questions, or providing any proof. Read the TOS. Google search it.

actually, people paid up to 50 US dollars to buy the game as a pre-purchase. They dropped the price after 'lauch' and all the terrible reviews.

actually, the 15 dollar price was available before it was ever on steam.

15 usd isn't even the scary part. people actually invested in purchasing overpriced private servers only to find little to nothing in them (loot).

giving people gc so they can revive their xp characters

revival. i think if you were to create a new character the xp doesn't carry onto them. you start from scratch?

ploy to get people to spend more $$$

remember folks....

when it comes to servers, ask yourself:

how many GC can I get for my real life currency ?

then, do the math ....

What will I choose to do with my money considering the condition this game is in ?

.

A very good post, wish I could add a like other than showing my appreciation through this post of my own.

jt23red and ¤ĢS¤ ♥♥♥♥mAn - Playing bf3. I do not know how old you are.

So it might be from lack of experience that you do not value your money.
That means you should remember this: People work for their money. And no matter the amount, they dont want to see their money invested into fraud or even intentional abuse.

But I can buy a lot of tasty food with 15 bucks. Or Indie games such as the ones now on humblebundle and others.

Agreed. How the f did this sh*t get back on Steam?
Unbelieveable that this got back to be sold on steam again ... even if the game would be good (IF) ... after all what happened nobody should support this company anymore ...it was a ripoff and a scam from beginning ...but it seems that for valve money goes over moral ... sadly not only valve

Because of people like you and your mentality, these scammers try to get away with this kind of scam. Grow up and man up against these scammers and let us all do something about it! They shouldnt be able to get away with these scams! And its great that money companies fine these crooks!
