Lose of paid items??
so you mean to tell me that you spend real money and a player can just shoot you and take it.... wow im so unimpressed with that for some reason...... so wasted money for a item that isnt blessed even for a hour.... very impressive indeed.

Jbyrd505 Mar 2, 2013 @ 4:46pm
well as a free shard runner of ultima online i have to tell you some will go ape caca over this. should atleast add a small bless for like hour after that free game i like what you have done tho its a neat idea. but real money getting lost right away is bad for business.

Hey, its not like that dude in EVE online that got people to lose over 45K in a day

Eve is the same way if you think about it. You spend real money to buy ISK. Well you buy PLEX and then sell it in Eve for ISK. You buy a ship, someone comes and blows you up. Money lost.

lolz in the respect i gotta go lolz

Haha, lesson learned the hard way. Don't spend any money on in-game stuff. Most of the time it's not worth it.
Jbyrd505 Mar 2, 2013 @ 7:42pm
not always the hard way those devs gotta eat sometime lol
Jbyrd505 Mar 2, 2013 @ 7:43pm
tho at somepoint they gotta save any future of making real money by bleh bleh bleh and all that. best advise could give em lol.

It is totally different in EvE because nobody is calling it a scam.

I doubt people would be calling out this particular feature though if it weren't for the previous issues. People will continue to pick at this game because of the shadiness of Hammerpoint.

What kinda annoys me though is that hackers apparently still run wild but they managed to streamline the feature that makes them more money. That's the red flag for me.

Note I said apparently. I haven't played since the Steam refund offer.

"Yes, you'll lose what you have in your backpack when you die – both in Normal and Hardcore modes", Hammerfront's [sic] Alex Josef told GamingBlend. "And yes, if you bought something using real money, you'll lose that item as well. This is a price you'll have to pay. We've discussed that a lot and at the end decided that this will provide a pretty good incentive for players to either be extra cautious while playing, or just not spend too much money in the game and, instead, try to procure all items by finding them in the game world."

Okay, just don't spend too much money in the store and you wont have a problem. Or just don't. It says up there you dont have to spend a lot of money. (but people will probably do it anyways)

this still to me sounds dumb. if a player can simply shoot ya in back. that not game caution. lol. anyway yea dont use money just play game or dont bleh bleh bleh. it is still a neet concept for a game.

If you think about it, it's placing a dollar value on in-game murder and theivery. Am I missing something or will this just further promote a hostile community?
