Fake screenshots, fake advertisements. No where do you guys tell me that this game is unfinished and only in alpha. Can't give my money to a company that doesn't protect me or even act somewhat accountable. I'll give you guys the week to ditch War Z or at least honestly advertise it or I'm out and switching to Gamers Gate.

Yeah I agree also, I think it's silly to stop supporting steam because they have 1 game on it that has caused this amount of discontent in the community. It's the company you should have issue's with, not steam. The only person you will end up hurting is yourself by ditching steam. Just because the War Z is back here, it doesn't mean that you have to buy it.

But when The War Z came on steam in the 1st place, it was false advertising (I.E. down right lying) because the feature's that were listed weren't actually in the game, like for example skill tree's.

ok, that is correct, and it is forbidden. and the ♥♥♥♥♥ pictures still on the page should be deleted. but it is common that companies make things "shinier than they are" and thats what i simply cant understand, are the people brainless zombies that cant even look up google before they buy something? i simply cant understand

Difference between false and deceptive advertisment and simply saying "you will have a blast" on the sticker on the front of a game cd or flash page. That's how "False Advertisement" got it's name, not from simply saying "most thrilling game ever with best graphics". No; people here are missing key points to why the uproar with WarZ. It is because of it's deceptive advertising, feature changes on the fly, broken promises, content not provided from the original date during Steams release and many were burned because of it. Overall bad chocies from both Hammerpoint and the developers responses to their own community defineded who Hammerpoint really was as a developer. Bad chocies on their part the blame is not the community or the consumer. Not in this case.

That and half the games you most likely bought and liked have supposed "gameplay videos" that arent actual gameplay footage but doubt you'll complain bout those :p . I do get what your saying though , but it was more of whomever put the games page up fault, The things listed were suppose to be under a heading of things to come. Either way though its like I said , you cant whine about anything thats happened with it on steam , they offered refunds , they took it off untill things got sorted. And now clearly the meta score reflects the craptasticness of the game man :/.

why do act as if steam is the developer? they get the gamers what they want to buy they didnt make the game they are providing you with the opportunity to purchase it i mean if you bought a toaster and thought you could watch tv then that would put you at blame its the same concept here make sure you know what your buying and youll be fine

What it really comes down to in the end , is everyone right now is wanting a good online massive multiplayer zombie game and they took the first thing they sall. And now there just totally pist that its not what they wanted , and I can share that sentiment, but im not going to blame others .... Again its like I said , refunds were offered, there is nothing to complain about.

I hope Valve sells Steam, and moves back into developement land. Their new TOS, and all these debacles that are constant are tainting this companies reputation.

The only real legit complaints I'v seen are about the cheaters. By no means should any online game be allowed to launch in this day in age without a real and proven anti cheat system.
