Has Valve done a re-evaluation?
Why exactly is this 'game' back on Steam?
I certainly hope that the overall quality of game, customer support and overall service has made a major leap forward prior to getting the support of Steam again (and yes, selling and advertising equals 'support' in my book.

I understand that the original build was ... let's say 'a bit messy' ...

If this software still suffers from the same flaws or 'diseases' as before, I would go so far as to say that Valve is losing sight of one major pillar of their own and (basically every) business model.
This being trust.

If I can't trust in Valve to do at least a wee bit of checking (for fraud, for instance or misconduct) before putting a game up on Steam, I will have to double- and triple-check what I'm buying here in the future.

Dear community, kindly tell me if the 'Oh-looks-fun-I'll-buy-that'-Panda is dead?
Thx and take care

The game is still the same game it was last time they released it. It's still super buggy, the pictures they are using to advertise still do not represent the game itself, their advertising is still mostly lies.

The game is awful and hasnt been improved since it was released outside of some new art assets in some locations. The only logical reason that steam would have put it back on here is a nice sized check written out to them from Scammerpoint. If the game didn't meet their standards before, it still wouldnt meet them now.

It hasn't.

Well ... curseword ...

While I understand the need to make money from a logical perspective, I certainly will change my overall attitude regarding blind purchases.
If this sorry excuse for a game can make it back here in basically the same state as before, then I will apply an extra double-layer of caution prior to buying anything on Steam.
Thx again

I don't get why Steam put it back up, as the game is still full of false advertising. Its just gonna be a repeat of last time with people asking for refunds, since the stuff they show, the fake screenshots, the broken and unfinished sounds touted as a key feature, not talking about hwo the game is completely unfinished in almost every area...They are just asking for more trouble.

The only difference that I see is a slightly less misleading description. After skimming thr forums, apparently they're actually making the game worse by making loot much less effective and deleting guides to looting, to encourage the microtransactions even more. They obviously bribed VALVe, but the only question is how much they had to fork over.

"Steam" is dead to me. its just another supermarket. This one just online where i can buy games easily. Another souless for profit alone entity that will ♥♥♥♥ anyone over for a buck, or close their eyes for devs with practices harmful to their own consumers. Steam, Wallmart, whatever. I expected more from a bunch of gamers such as Valve. It might be a great place to work, but was this really what you had in mind Gabe`? Is this your big dream coming to fruition?

Valve clearly prefers a quick profit over customer loyalty.

... and that's really sad in a way.
I had the feeling that they were ... I don't know, kind of different, too.
The wonderful games, especially Portal 1+2, kind of strengthened that feeling.
Yeah, I know, silly me ...

More sadness:
Imho, they'll stay on top nonetheless. I doubt ppl will take a stand and make them listen. Sounds pessimistic, but I see too many 'Yes'-man out there.
Acceptance and 'Why-all-the-hate?' prevails. 'Why all the criticism?' No hassle, all is well, move along. 'Go make a better game yourself, OK!?'

I think Valve may be basically thinking along the same lines, meaning they rely on ppl thinking, and more importantly acting, like that. A few customers may leave, more will follow.
'We're top dog, so why try harder!?'

Or deleting them making exploring in the open persistant world actually exploring and not just following a to b to c to get the "best" items. If they don't want people to spoil things for their game then they dont have to. Or you could say they did it to get more money but it seems like it takes a bit away from the game and if they don't want it on their site they don't have to keep it on there...just use google?

call me crazy but I actually like this game. o.O. Yeah , i get ♥♥♥♥ed when i take damage wallking down an inlcine but I stilll genuinly have fun pllaying the game. I mean for 15 bucks I have already got my moneys worth. I do not understand todays standards of going ape♥♥♥♥ over a 15 dollar game.

From my point of view, it may have been a 10 or 5 dollar game.
This is about integrity ... and mainly Valve's integrity at that.
I wouldn't really presume the 'minds' behind the 'game' have some left, but this is only my personal opinion ...

Good for you, if you have fun with the game!
I wouldn't call anyone anything who says he has fun with a game, as it's highly subjective :)
Hopefully, you won't run into the same troubles that are affecting so many other players.
