WarZ is back and why it's okay.
I know, the best result would have been it never coming back to Steam. But it's okay because they already failed. It simply doesn't matter as they aren't going to produce enough sales for it to matter. When the game first released it skyrocketed in sales because people were in a rush to try this game. But then people saw what it actually was and the state it was in and mass refunds were given.

Then all the terrible truths leaked out. About the development and the developers. They kept digging themselves deeper everytime they ever talked too and still do to this day. Gaming news outlets from all over reported on it. Plus the reviews rolled in and the great metacrtic score of 23/100 shows. How many are going to buy it seeing that?

But the most damning thing of all isn't anything above. It's the game's own age. Video games have a timeline where most sales are made this is from release to a few months after. Once it passes that point the sales drastically drop and the game becomes stale. After the mass refunds and getting kicked off the Steam to reach the stale point that's it. WarZ will never come near the reach of the potential sales it had. At this point it's more likely costing them more to keep the game running than they are getting in income.

We won, the scam failed. Now there's only one way to properly declare our victory.

I still don't understand why Sergey doesn't use his talents for organisation to pull people together, hire some talents, spend some of that profit and make warz an awsome game. He has loads of cash now, so the sky is the limit. Still don't understand why he doesn't want to be a 'winner' himself.

OP you are right. Just looked at the steam statistics for this game. People have learned.
They don´t even get players through steam anymore, because everyone interested in the game already bought it back in Dec and most of these people already got their refunds.
Since this game is back on steam they did not get any significant players and therefore buyers.

This week, the amount of people playing WarZ on steam, currently surpasses the amount of people playing Aliens CM

What has this to do with anything?

True. 1. when you compare the playernumbers this time with the numbers from Dec when it was first released on steam, you can see that they did not leap much.
2. Because it´s on steam again people can now get a refund. If they would have bought it from the War Z website this would have not been an option.

OP is right their time is already over. People have been warned about the game and their devs. They are definitely not making the amount of money they need to further develop the game. Just look at the last patch notes. They just changed spawnnumbers. Thats it. It´s game over for Hammerpoint...and there will be no respawn.

We can´t stop everyone from buying the game. But we can still warn people about it. Word of mouth works both ways.

One good thing will come out of this. Many of the people that pay for and play this game will definitely be skipping on the next Sergey or Hammerpoint offering, and that is good. Spend 15 bucks now, see what they are all about, and save 50 bucks on their next game launch.

Some people are gonna toss caution to the wind, ignore reviews, personal testimonials, let's play videos. They are going to say "It couldn't possibly be THAT bad." Buy it anyway, and see that it is actually far worse than the reviews.

Nothing is stronger than a 1st hand experience. You can tell people it's awful, it's a scam, don't buy it, all day long, but until their money is gone, and all they have to show for it is the buggy, awful, pvp hackfest that is WarZ, they won't truly understand.

I'm a prime example that it's working.. I have not, nor will not buy this game.. heck i wouldn't even touch it if it were f2p.. From all the reviews and talk about this and it's developers I know enough from what I have read that it would be a waste of time and money. +1 to you all!

I also don't mind if it stays on steam.. the forums are worth the price just for the entertainment here :D
