Even Veteran players are quitting - and then getting banned

So in short one 4000+ post veteran ( Avg 22 posts a day ) who spent 5 months defending this game decided he was over it, a bunch of other 1000+ verterans and fandboys echo the same in the thread.

Then HP Bans the guy.

You couldnt make this stuff up if you tried !

yep, worst part is the OP complained in a fairly respectful/non-trolling manner and they responded by banning him.

Really ? I havent posted in this Hub for a while but I remember back when Kewk and his cronies were moderators and banning people in steam too.

Is that not the case anymore ? I was expecting to get banned for creating the thread.

I saw Kewk was logged into his Steam account all day yesterday....but yet he hasnt even corresponded once to his WarZ playerbase in nearly a week.

same with Sergay ..... he hasnt been heard from in 'over' a week.

the players over there have every right to be pissed off.

especially with the server/broken patch fiasco still going on...

Funny thing is you can see the games Kewk owns and the games he is playing...hint: not the game from the company he´s working for ;)

Yeah, that was one of the major reasons why Valve got so pissed at them. Kewk and co were squelching any and all dissent that was attempting to make people aware of how underprepared the game was. People started complaining to the Steam mods, and down came the hammer.

A large majority of Steam users realized this company was a scam within 1 hour. How the heck it takes other people 6 months is beyond me. I know some people are slow but ................wow. :D I underestimated the Darwin effect badly. I guess some people need it mashed in their faces before they finally see the light. No wonder gaming is such a profitable business. There is just no shortage of suckers out there.

yup ...and Steam offered full refunds very shortly thereafter.... the next day wasn't it?

The same day that they decided to take the game off steam, they offered full refund's. Most of us got our money back within 4 hours or so of asking for a refund and the money put back into either our account's or our steam wallet. Some player's kept the game in their library also. They didn't take the game out of our library unless we specified that we wanted a refund for those of us that bought it.

Everyone has that one game that they can't help themselves with. Even if the world says it's terrible, they won't realize it until they come to their own terms with it, hence this particular long time fan leaving only just recently despite all the crap.

I'm reading through that forum now and in all honesty, even though I don't know what it is to be a mod, I can't see any legitimate reason why WalkerZ deserved to be banned. He clearly enjoyed the game before then and he has not really threatened the game or forum user's in any way. I think he was more than likely banned for saying that he intended to stop supporting/playing the game but there are a lot of people on the forum saying the same thing who havem't been banned.

My guess is that they banned him to stop his post's from making people think along similar line's. But he is just expressing his opinnion about where the game is going wrong and how to fix it. Any normal dev company would take player criticism and suggestion's seriously and thank them for their help and try and impliment some of them for the good of the community.

I also saw the comment's about him having multiple account's for trolling. I don't think that is true. I think that is a way of discrediting the guy's reputation and defending Hammerpoint's decision to ban him.

watching the fall (fail?) of War Z has been a pretty fun 'temporary hobby'.

Something new and entertaining just every day since they launched it on Steam.

too bad it's just a mini-series, .....

and it will, more than likely, have and ending like LOST I suppose too......
