Personally I think they were being too generous, scoring it 30 lol.

I’ve been killed before the game completes loading (off my SSD, no less), with no chance to move or respond, 14 times. On several of these defenseless lives, I’d brought gear into the game that I’d purchased from the marketplace and lost it instantly.

Sums up everything that's wrong with this game rather nicely.

People keep saying you can die before you load in, but I have NEVER had this happen. Then again.. they keep talking about how you can pay real money for items... and I've never seen that happen either.

Also.. a 3/10 seems like a pretty fair score for this game... I don't think I would score it higher than that.

They changed it, so you have to pay real cash to get a pair of night vision googles. That is wrong on so many levels. You're in denial if you think that nobody is paying real cash on items like these. The sad thing is that people will fall for this scam and use the marketplace, which is what hammerpoint is hoping for.

This is actually a really awesome review and I am very pleased that I can continue to see PC Gamer as a really high integrity organization. The review just about matches my every opinion and feeling on this game.

I am goin to have to ask you to stop making sense and being so level headed.

But... all the other reviews I read seemed like it was a person giddy about being able to bash something. This review is like... someone picking through the game and highlighting its best and worst aspects as well as viewing the game both in and of itself and as it relates to when and where it exists in time.

It even highlights the exact things *I* personally like and dislike the most about the game. I'm just really happy that someone reviewed the game professionally and objectively.

It doesn't hurt my enjoyment that they seemed to come to all the same conclusions I have about the game...

PC GAMER "A shameless knock-off that repeats many of DayZ’s problems. Worst audio ever. Bullets for sale? Really?" LOL BRUTAL!

The whole world knows that Akrtos ripped off The War Z from Day Z. There's no denying it, and Sergey refuses to prove it because he can't. Like that football player who faked having a girlfriend and then said she died from cancer. :P

Worth noting that this review was written before the NVG and carry limit changes, provided free of charge by Hammerpoint to their continually developed and updated game. Otherwise I imagine he'd latch onto the marketplace even more harshly than he did.

He brings up a good point though that I managed to fail to consider in the midst of this whole mess; they're charging for ammo.

I just find that amusing. It's the one exaggerated hyperbole thing people used to bring up as the ultimate heinous crime when discussing rumors of what Call of Duty Elite might entail. No one believed it'd ever actually become a thing. And now it has. :D

All in all this seems like a moderately balanced and thorough review. While I may agree with the ones that consider it enough to condemn the game as a piece of crap based on the developer's conduct alone, it's nice to see reviews which analyze the game in more detail, from more angles, and arrive at the same conclusion.

This review is so vindicating for me. I'm just gonna say it.. I told you so.
