Who's to say if it was ripped or they simply picked the same sample out of some library.

If I was on the dev's team at Hammerpoint, I'd give the other dev's a mouse with no right click button and a keyboard with no action buttons, just to be mean and see how well they do then.

Yeah, how the fanboyz are defending their lying and stealing devs. Man they defend their crap blindly!

Yes, chances are it could just be a library track, most companies use them for small pieces of pre recorded music without needing to record/sample or create their own stuff, AKA soundtrack pro comes with a large library already and lots of websites offer them for charges.

BUT, this is HAMMERPOINT, this stuff costs money, so chance are it is probably stolen. It would not surprise me if they are running on on cracked Win 7 machine made with stolen parts using software supplied by well known torrent sites etc.

I'd think it probably be a Stock library sound/music.

You know that Song that was in the Legend of Zelda fire Temple for adult link that had Islamic prayers in it and so they removed it? That too was Stock audio that was even used in a Zelda game that infact was used in multiple other games before and after it. Gametrailers had a Mythbusters like episode talking about it.

So, things like this do happen where it's not 'stolen' but simply really lazily noticeable that it's to avoid using Money to make new songs that fit in right.
