Yeah but c'mon. Wouldn't you be pissed if some one blamed you for something that you hadn't done because they miss took a completely different game for your's, especially when it's close friends and even family member's? It would be like putting you in prison for something someone else had done.

No. I would just simply say "im sorry, your confusing my game with another. But I appreciate your high expectations from me."
Its a simple misunderstanding. It may be a little annoying, but all he has to do is explain himself. Not that big a deal.

He is reaching for attention. Its not like falsely accusing you and putting you in prison. the man isnt getting prison raped. he just has to take a minute or two to explain. Not that big a deal. It is a cry for attention, a pity plea.

I lost major respect for the man for trying to go that route. Its very unprofessional, and way below what I expect from him.

The fact that people are making the mistake of thinking that the Day Z is infact the War Z because they have not done their research properly which is the root cause of the issue, not him wanting more publicity because he has, accidentally, made one of the most successful mod's ever. I can sympathise with him to a degree because if they at Hammerpoint had called the game "zombie survival fest 2013 Z" or something completely different than what they did, People wouldn't have made the distinction. I don't 100% blame hammerpoint either but this is a prime example of what happen's to a person when other people don't get the fact's right.

2: more cocky and d-baggy and acts like he is gods gift to man.

Well, I hope for his communities sake that he doesn't decide to abandon the Day Z stand alone. If it were me in his position, I would consider, and probably end up, dropping all of it just to wash my hand's of all of it and get my life in order, let Hammerpoint take the monopoly and see what happen's then. Some thing's just aren't worth it. Especially when this guy has dedicated his time and energy to the community to bring them something special and he is essentially unsupported by the people who want him to carry on producing this titlle for them when all they have to do is put their card details onto the internet and buy the product, the point being that it's easy for us to sit here in judgement but what do we have to put up with? The occassional person calling us War Z hater or Day Z fan boy? Me and you haven't even seen half of what this guy has been through and trust me, it's not nice when you fall out with your own friends and family over something that isn't even your fault.

He may have creative control, but in the end the game WILL come out whether he wants it to or not. Its owned by BI now. Dean doesnt own exclusive rights.

Here is my honest thoughts :

I heard about this Dayz over some friends being so sarcastis about game. I never cared enough about it for some reason. I watched a bit videos and it was just like Forest Trekking Simulator 2012 added with a bunch of zombies and lots of PvP. I hated the game to its core.

So in the end, I thought WarZ was the standalone version because I'd never get that crappy mediocre Arma2 to play that thing. I refunded of course because it was the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game I've ever played in my entire freaking life. So does DayZ for sure.

So dear developer that I couldny give any less good damn about his name, please go cut your wrists instead of whining over social network, no one gives a single damn. I know that the same idiot was actually enjoying the competition UNTIL Warz went online before it and many people thought it was the official standalone like me...Now he is just b*tching about it just because WarZ destroyed his games reputation worldwide? Well you asked for it. Just go pray that WarZ wont block your official standalone from ever going on sales.

For myself, I just cant see myself playing that mediocre game ever again. As both in War or Day.

How did he ask for any of this? They deliberately named their game similar and ripped off his product just to make a quick buck. He has every right to feel as he does, when he's passionate about his work. Maybe next time you should show some consideration for others, instead of telling people to go cut themselves.

So, you're saying he can't say "I quit" and simply go work at Taco Bell or something? (that's just off the top of my head, mind, he could probably get a better job than that)

Regardless of whether or not Bohemia takes DayZ to completion afterwards, that would still be the creator abandoning the game.
