Most boring pos ever
Jog like a fat girl for 5-45 minutes and then die. Then do it again until you quit.

Pretty much a lot of players experiences with the game.

Don't play alone hehe my friend and I keep getting spawned on opposite sides of the map. The one time we got together we were killed by zombies. Any time I feel like I'm getting the hang of it, a player winds up killing me.

This is not the genre for you then. I'm sure that even the Day Z standalone will have walking in it as well.

You should also avoid ANY MMO at all, the Battlefield series, Skyrim/Fallout games and the Farcry series.

Sounds like you've never played this game ever. ESP/and Aimbots make everyone's experience like this. If you're saying yours isn't, then you're probably using ESP and aimbots.

My experience is not at all like this AND I am not using any cheats or exploits.

It is what you make of it, they say. Although it's just as much about what they make of it, if not more so.

Battlefield has vehicles. As does Far Cry. Which also has fast travel. As do Skyrim and Fallout. Going from A to B is kind of an issue in games. It's generally not all that entertaining to hold down a stick/key for minutes on end to get to where you get to have some fun. Needs to be more than just a transportation stretch.

Bethesda's games tend to be littered with nooks and crannies of little sidetracks and stuff to discover, collect or fight or whatevz.

It doesn't really matter if you set out to create some sort of harsh survival atmosphere, just running for miles is fecking boring. If that's a primary ingredient, then you're right, it's not a game for me.

These games need more actual, proper content, I feel. Or features that accommodate for strengthening the survival aspect. More systems, realism to make things more dynamic. Something. They more or less seem to be all about loot and the social aspect at this point. So build on that too maybe?

Lol, the only game that belongs in your list is Dear Ester. That was a boring walking "game" and I hated it. Everything you listed has a perfectly reasonable travel time. In Dayz, without a vehicle I can still let my guy autorun where I wanted to go, and I was far more likely to get something out of it and not just die.

The games you listed are actually fun and you don't move so incredibly slowly. FFS my guy barely has anything on him. Why does he have to be so slow and tire so quickly? Even with autorun (autohotkey), WarZ is ♥♥♥♥. I can't imagine trying to play it while holding W the whole time. Oh and the environmental sounds (insects and crap) were driving me crazy so I pretty much had to mute the game.

The map isn't exactly huge (though the slow speed makes it feel that way). 100 people? Holy crap, get a gun and camp a point of interest while hidden and in third person: why would I do anything else? I'm sure it's hilarious when you have a gun, but without one you are just dead meat. Give everybody a pistol and a couple mags to start, then I'll reevaluate the game. For now, I'm just glad it's a trial and I didn't pay for this ♥♥♥♥. edit. It'd still be a boring game.

I thought I would like the game because it sounded so hardcore. Really though, it's just boring and stupid.

PS: Even Miasmata is fun and that game has a lot of walking too.

I found the travel times to be longer in Day Z and the spawns to be roughly equal (with Day Z's spawns seeming less random)

Yes, the spawn locale in Day Z is along the southern shore of Chernarus - primarily because, unlike the "Colorado" map (which, interestingly enough, bears no actual resemblance to Colorado), Chernarus is actually very large. Somewhere around 225km2, I believe. The reason that "Colorado" seems larger than it is (despite being somewhere between 5 and 10km2, at best) is because your avatar's movement speed is unbelievably slow.

Travel times in Day Z were longer because - at least on Chernarus - you're playing in a massive, incredibly well-fleshed out, beautiful map built from the ground up using actual geometric data from regions similar to the overall geographic qualities of Chernarus.

Did you play DayZ. It's jog like a fat girl for 45-60 min and then die. Then do it again until you quit.

Didi you play the War Z?

I'm confused now.. are we talking about and comparing the War Z or the Day Z? Cos it sounds like the same game.

No, you were just bad. If it was you WarZ would be like 45-60 min. DayZ would be like 1.5-2 hours.

Ah the age old get out clause. If you get killed too many times or don't find enough interesting thing's to do in War Z, Your just a bad gamer on it, I love that excuse :P
