I think the game being in a alpha state also weighed into the decision. If it was simply the store page was incorrect they would have just edited the information

It wasn't in alpha state. It was the finished product, which Sergey called the "Foundation Release."

That said, it was of alpha QUALITY.

and it goes way beyond the plagiarized art, its also questionable audio, recycled resources and textures, the stolen terms of service, suspended trademarks, zero ingame anticheat while also charging real money for items yet you lose them permanently when you get ganked by a hacker, etc, etc ,etc....

not to mention the review scores on all the major gaming sites like pc gamer and metacritic and many others, the major media exposures by outlets such as BBC, Forbes, etc.,,,and the investigations by the BBB and FTC.

the game is so unsecure taht even an emulator is freely available online, as well as rampant free distribution of hacks and cheats.

the list of proof against this developer is looooong. I could go on and give proven examples for a long long time.

Beware buyers !.... seriously, dont fall for the misleading marketing of this money grab scam.

Here is how the scam cycle works:

Sergey Titov and Hammerpoint are marketing this game primarily to kids and people excited about anything 'zombie' who are understandably uninformed and quick on the buy-button draw, they dont do a lot of research before they buy because hey, who doesn't want a sandbox zombie apocalypse game with all these features right ?.

These gamers are then sold on the premise that this is a wonderful zombie apocalypse MMO with all kinds of features, and the gamers believe the false screenshots and game contents promises. They are sold on the false information that is in the War Z advertisements without the knowledge that they are being scammed....

and Sergey is making a fortune in the quick cash grab.....

then Sergey and his thugs will dump the game and move on to the next quick cash grab, which they will also more than likely market fraudulently to uninformed kids and advertisement trusting gamers again,...

They will do this all under the protection of a 'limited liability corporation', which exempts any actual person from taking responsibility for their actions or have any monetary accountability when the law does catch up with them and the company is shut down. By then the money is long gone, and slushed into other accounts or capital ventures.
