If War Z Comes back to Steam, I'm buying it
Steam in my opinion is well equipped and prepared to insure a quality product on their platform. If they bring back War Z then its all good with me. Yeah I get it, most of you don't like Sergey, War Z borrows liberally from the genre, War Z has an in game store...blah, blah, blah. If thats the case then Team Fortress 2 is a scam, how many items and keys must I purchase to get the latest and greatest?!

In the end all War Z is to me is a game, hell some of you act like its the end of the world, a zombie apocalypse or something!! Its just another game in the library and in all honesty from what I have seen, War Z does in fact look better, plays better, and appears more polished than Day Z. Hell, Day Z looks boring as ♥♥♥♥!! Thats just my opinion.

I know some of you will point out Hammerpoint business practices or lying to the community but no one has lied to me or pulled wool over my eyes. I am not and have not been involved in any of that controversy, I don't play betas anyway, I wait patiently for a finished product and if Steam brings it back it will no doubt be worthy of purchase. So I think its now up to Steam to assess the War Z, judging by the threads in this forum, I can no longer rely on the opinion of the game community you guys have become very biased, over emotional, and unable to review this game fairly.

People tend to be biased towards something when they're lied to.

Some are trying so hard to make the game fail it is obscured whether or not its actually a good game. I want a Zombie MMO and right now this is one of the few choices we have. The only thing that matters is the product, you guys are caught up in the dialogue, I have never played a game based on my fondness for the developer, just make the damn game, if its good I'll buy it!

I don't understand this at all. How much negative info about the game/dev do you need to actually trigger some common sense? Now don't get me wrong, I'm all for the game coming back IF they can get their sh!t together (very unlikely), but until then please don't go bothering steam with requests to bring it back until they have fixed/completed the game.

It sets a bad precedent if games like this can enter into the steam market and behave like some little kid trying to scam people for a quick buck and not get punished/removed.

I really don't want to see other Devs try a stunt like this again, so please be patient and understand that as steam said before that the game will be temp. removed until confidence in a new build (between both steam and the dev) can be found/released.

If The War Z was a F2P alpha mod you might have had a point with those comparisons.

I'm sure Valve will look at the eventual re-release of this game with a lot more scrutiny. But Valve's lacking screening/quality assurance is partially to blame for this whole mess. They're yet to announce any eventual policy changes. So trusting in their ability in that regard makes no sense to me.

The rest of your post is basically just reiterating a bunch of issues the game/developer has displayed.

You're free to like one thing over another (although you appear to not have played either), but defending The War Z against the plentiful and valid criticism levied against it and its developer is just...you can see that it doesn't work right?

As far as I'm concerned Hammerpoint is all out of goodwill and second chances. I might be somewhat lenient with criticizing them if the re-release ends up being actually decent, but this is irredeemable behavior that should never be forgotten. Or well, maybe if they cease being turds for a year or two. They're on probation let's say.

I will buy it and I will also buy dayz when its standalone and if they sort out the daft high speed zombies. If another company comes along and takes parts of warz and dayz adds some extra and makes an epic game I will buy that as well. To all you haters if you dont like the game dont buy it , dont play it, Go and play something you do like or do something constructive you will all feel much better for it.

You don't lose your items (permanently) after death in TF2.

I've mentioned this so many times. So, so many times. Listen carefully.
DayZ. Does. Not. Matter.
90% of the people against "The War Z" don't give a truck about DayZ. They don't care. Despite the gameplay being nearly identical between the two, that is not why people are upset. They are upset because of the unethical, illegal business practices by Hammerpoint, and Mr. Sergey Titov.

I don't play betas anyway,
Before the game was released, it was in some obvious form of alpha. After providing minimal (if any) updates to the game, it was then brought out on Steam, where Mr. Sergey Titov claimed that it had undergone its "Foundation Release; IE, it's no longer in beta." These words in and of themself were a blatant lie, as clearly nothing had changed between the foundation release, and the whatever-they-were-calling-it-at-the-time just days prior.

The War Z is as much of an MMO as Call of Duty is. ..Which it isn't. Neither of the aforementioned games are "MMOs." They are PvP deathmatches, and in The War Z's case, a small handful of zombies were thrown in for the lulz.

A large number of 40-100 person servers does not make an MMO. It makes a game with a large number of 40-100 person servers.
