WarZ - Decent or garbage?

First of all I want to say it's a beta so it will develop and hopefully receive the features they promised.

I bought the game because I was a fan of DayZ and hoped to get a more "fluent" version. Obviously it was a rip off ;).

My impression of the game:

1. It's running without lags and any kind of low frames.
2. The map is quiet big. More content shall come.
3. This game focus on PvP. Zombies are too weak and too slow in this game. I don't get the feeling of survival like in DayZ.
4. Medical supplies: Way too high spawn rate. No rl cooldown when using it. In a fire fight it means who has the most medical and different supplies on shortkeys. They mostly win the battle.
5. 3rd Person view. Some like it, I'm not a fan of it. People use it to look around corners, over walls without getting seen. Means ambush, instant death which looks like a cheater striked.
You should see server who disable this option.
6. Steam. Selling a beta and advertising with features who aren't in the game at all. I mean look at the pictures on the sale? Just wow.... A sad wow...
7. Cheaters. It destroys the game and is the reason I don't play it anymore. Getting ♥♥♥♥♥ over and over by aimbotters, wallhackers and noclippers. It's so annoying and frustrating. I don't know why they don't act properly. Making this game cheater free will bring back a lot of players and would push the game. VAC hello???


In my opinion you shouldn't buy the game until it's "finished". There is still too much work to do in this game to sell it on steam. But I'm somehow sure it will develop to good game which is worth the money. But not now.

Oh, you brought up a good point with third person I forgot to address. It kind of takes away from the immersion; being able to disable it on some servers would be a big improvement.(As they do in DayZ.) Someone willing to use 3rd person over someone not has a much higher sense of situational awareness.

I don't know what you mean by fluent version, but dispite Sergey's claims of being the first game of this kind...You're right. It is a ripoff of DayZ, and they also plagiarised images from the Walking Dead, and music from American Horror Story. There's no evidence to back up Sergey's claim that this game has been in production for years. On the contrary, all evidence points to 6 months ago.

My impression of the game:

I personally can't argue this, but other people including members of the gaming news media have reported otherwise.

False. Sergey claims the Colorado map is 100 square kilometers, when actually the map is about 9 square kilometers.

I agree. This game isn't about the zombies and more about avoiding other players. This is why their current business model is so broken. Who wants to spend money on microtransactions when you're just going to get shot dead within minutes and lose everything?

The respawn timer is absurd. What a rediculous mechanic.

Yes, this is another design flaw.

To Valves credit, they weren't responsible for anything on the store page. That was all put there by the developer. Those screenshots were also fakes. They were doctored to look better and make it look as if there would be hoards of zombies. Vavle was not aware of the state of the game until it was brought to their attention and they yanked it from the store.

I think the cheaters are out there to purposly undermine this game and destroy it. I think the developer has to work with Valve to make the game VAC supported.

According to Sergey Titov, this game will never be finnished. When it's finished, the game will in his opinion be dead.

I like the game it feels more polished than Dayz but obviously I cant argue Dayz has far more features and immersion with the world which I hope Warz adds eventually. I just couldn't get into Dayz I've pld like 30hrs of Dayz and over 150 of Warz. I wil no doubt buy the Dayz stand alone though hoping for vast improvements as I just like these type of games.
