thinking of getting this game opinions

i read a lot of negative particularly the one interview where they are shifting blame to the customers interpretation all the way to steam fault.thats reading it on gamespy and sergey titov responses.maybe he should work in the fast food industry. his dodging attempts doesnt help his cause.but i do wanna hear people opinion of this game

The marketing team may suck, but the GAME is solidly enjoyable. I play with my friends all the time. All the badd controversy is about this "false advertising" that they put in the game description in steam. Now, those features are planned and the marketing team screwed up the presentation of the game. Many people do not know much about the game because they never gave it a GOOD chance. I think that the game is well worth the $15 or watever it is (I got it in October for $30, and I do not regret it one bit). It is your choice, and the haters will be the most vocal about not getting the game... but keep in mind, most have never played the game for more than 10 minutes... if at all.

Not only the marketing team, also the Dev's too, lied about multiple of things, so not just the marketing, why buy a game where the Dev's themselfs lie? make false promises... waste of money is what that is.

im more concerned of getting burned like that mass effect 3 joke of an ending where your decisions didnt matter on teh first and second one .im more into game immersion :D and gameplay

oh, you will get burned.. read that site, and I mean all of it, sure its alot, but you'll get the jiff of what kind of developers they are, and how you'll just be blowing money away, hell, if $15 means nothing to you, send it my way, it means something to me :P

that's where you are mistaken my friend.

many many of us put a 'lot' of hours into it, trying to give it the benefit of the doubt. But the shell of a playable game, and blatant compilation of outdated resources...not to mention the openly breechable engine that has been overrun by simple hacks that the devs just cant seem to pinpoint...lol. ( which can be found just about everywhere for free now too, do a war z hack search, and see how easy it is to modify the game to your advantage ) has ruined any appeal it may have falsely marketed itself with.

ultimately, the refund of this game was way more appealing than anything war z had to offer.

You cant say its NOT a cash grab when they are now selling the game for $100 to Russians... pay 2 win but you pay 100 for some of those perks, just so when you die, you lose them for good..

That may be your experience, but I have never encountered a hacker since October. Maybe you put a lot of hours into it, but not many other people did. If I were you, I would just stop trying... I dont think it would be worth my time, if i didnt like a game, to bash it. But if you want to, be my guest. I enjoy the game and a lot of other people do as well. You can think whatever you want about TWZ, but I think it would be better worth you time to go and play something you enjoy as opposed to hanging around here saying its a scam.

there is a few, DayZ is coming out as a standalone, going to be revamped, sometime in beginning of January and also State of Decay, but its for console.. looks amazing, single player . and Dead Linger: http://www.thedeadlinger.com/ is in alpha, as per developer videos, the game is coming along,

Im not saying there ARENT hackers... Im saying that I have never encountered one. I have never been aimbotted, or sniped from impossible places, or anything of the sort.

again...how are you able to detect if you are killed by an aimbot shot or just a normal shot ?
and if sniped, how can you possibly detect the location, distance or trajectory it came from ?
