May be my favorite game of all time.

I'm only 5 days in but I am super hooked. Why? The War Z is very different from any other game you've been playing. It has guns and a FPS interface but it's not a shooter. It's a survival game.

When you spawn in you should assume everything is going to try and kill you. You have to really feel out a player before you team up and you never have enough gear. Why, because it's about survival. Can you do more with less?

If you want to have the best gun or flashiest armor then you'll hate this game. If you need a quest giver to tell you what to do you'll fell lost. But if you just want to figure out if you can live in a hostile world with a flashlight? You've found your game.

I just did a "naked" raid of Boulder City and it was crazy fun. I went in with an empty backpack and had to sneak everywhere I went. I had a zombie chase me through 2 buildings before I found something to kill him with. After that I managed to cross the width of the town solely with loot I found on that run. It was a rush.

The game does have the feel of a beta. I will give the haters that. There isn't much other than the vault in safe zones. The sounds are still quirky and there is the occasional aimbotter.

So if you're looking for a crazy, dangerous, free zombie world this game is for you. I'm hoping they continue to polish it and you'll read this and join. Good luck!

The reason most people are angry is not because the game is that bad now, its because when they got it it was horrible. They bought things a year ago that still are not in the game and tell the truth I'd be pissed if I bought something a year ago and I haddn't got it yet.
On the other hand the game is getting better now and though it has its flaws still its worth playing as long as you don't spend too much on GC 'in-game cash' The haters have good reason to hate and we should support a number of them because they are still waiting on what they paid for. such as their strongholds. On the other hands many flat out lies are still going around and to support the game these need to be shut down, the game is still not incomplete but the qualities you'd expect of a $15 dollar game from a non-major studio.
The problem is that this game was released with a much higher cost and promised major studio features that are not there.

I love it myself. There are some bugs and an occasional problem here and there. Its a fun game to play with peeps you know or trust well enough. I've found myself a happy lil pve server.
Gc is comepletely optional, and youll end up getting some even if u dont buy.(ive gotten 2.5k gc) from the times where hammerpoint release a bug. They tend to fix their bugs within a week and compensate their player base for them.

Decent trading community to. Find a rare and dont wont it? Trade other players for gc or items. Watch for scammers trade at your own risk. Check rep pages

I agree... since I got this game no other game seems interesting. No other game provides tension, fear, or the joy of merely not ending up dead. I'm sticking with it for the long haul to see where it goes and I hope other companies adapt the "substantial penalty for death" that this game has.

Boulder with no weapons? No problem... round em up... leap out second floor window... huff huff huff... gain more space running over a fire truck... up ahead.. thats the "last stand" building! Gotta be weapons in there... at least a bat... oh god I dont wanna die!

Who do I cheat on me and those protected in the redneck I moved over the mountain hang zohne safety device, so it goes to the many not patch more.The entire shift Dennen but scammers are still there.

lol yeah I never thought I would surpass my playtime on a single game of 650hrs that I did with left for dead 2 but im way past that now on warz and no sign of giving up yet, I luv it even in it's basic form the genre is awesome.

It is and incomplete game! it isn't the FIRST game in this category either, there are a couple of others game like this (not talking about DayZ) this is a Pay2Win game...and if you think this game is awesome or you've lost interest on other games...then you really played crappy games b4. This piece of crap is the worst software ever programmed...and i totally regret this purchase, just like the 90% of the players. It is stupid to charge you with real money for AMMO! or skins or even to "revive" your character, i mean...i already paid 15 bucks, it is expensive enough for an MMO...why in the name of ♥♥♥♥ should i keep paying for items, not to mention the hack, animations, ranges and small small small crappy map. Oh...and the bugs...

Did you read my OP? Ammo is supposed to be a luxury. When you only have 8 bullets you make each one count. That's what gives the game a suvival feel. You don't win by getting the best gear or flashiest clothes. You win by surviving, often with the least gear possible.

You don't need to buy a single thing from the market, you just need to change how you think about playing a game.
