Worst game I've ever played

War Z must be the worst, most ridiculous, incomplete, rushed, poorly designed piece of crap I've ever had the misfortune of buying. I got this a while back with the promise of it being (fun to play with friends), I'm not sure how it is now but my experience consisted of running around the world for 50 years trying to find my friends to play with. Finally find them for 2 seconds, die by some one with a gun and repeat the whole thing over again. There was no option, back then anyway, to teleport to a teams location, to add him to your friends list, NOTHING. I had to freaking go on skype and say "Hey man open your map, where on the map are you? Where is that?". The total play time of around 5-6 hours was spent running around an empty, rushed, incomplete world.

Again, I'm unsure if this is fixed now, there may be a friends list ect. Even then the point is invalid, the game shouldn't have been sold/released incomplete deceiving people with FALSE advertising.

Actually a lot of the problems have been fixed, but the map could use away to move from one settlement to another. There are icons for people in your group on the map.
Basically the game was rushed to a full released, when to most people it was in more of a closed beta state, just after alpha testing. hammer point didn't make this clearly known and a lot of people who pre-ordered or purchesed right after felt ripped off and in truth they kind of where.
As of now the dev's are trying to fix all there mistakes though they are getting attacked from all sides for it.
To start the game is based of a mod much like LoL was based off dota, so they get a lot of back lash from the 'original is better' Day Z hipsters and then the huge crowd of people who felt ripped off. In the end the game is improving a lot most the heavy problems are being solved.
The game really isn't that bad anymore I have not real problems with it on my system at least most the complants you hear are from people who don't even play or where ban for hacking. The complaints where once really valid, but if you picked up the game today you really wouldn't know half of what people are complaning about.
For an instance with last patch they had a lot of complaints about ammo beng too hard to find, you can now unload extra guns and I lately have been finding ammo for guns which I have in my inventory... So even though still hard it isn't impossible to build up ammo. in the end the game well probably end up being pretty decent if it outlasts these attacks.

Maybe the map used to be a lot bigger.... but it doesn't take very long for 2 people to get to the same location in this game (certainly not multiple years of travel). I'm also confused as to how it required you to wander around or be unsure of where the other person was as this game shows you where you are on the map screen.

Also if you are only interested in playing with other people you are kinda all set once you meet up even if you die. Those two characters will now spawn near each other. Once you meet up on all five characters you are set up to NEVER have to walk to each other ever again. Which is why this game is much easier to play with friends than Day Z is (unless you and your friends always want to stay near the noob coast).

You'd think that 20 metacritic score would be an indicator that this game might be balls. Thank god I don't own it, but i am loling a whole lot at totalbiscuits video on it.

You are correct and if you had taken the time to read the WarZ forums on their site you'd know why, when those things are coming, and what to expect currently while they continue to improve and develope the game. lol

You develope a game prior to launch, you don't sell a game to people still under development with advertising of all of this stuff, when the only way to see if it actually has it is going to freaking forums. I don't know about you, but when I buy a game I don't first check up the games "official forums", I read the description, and the content promised by the developers. If it's still under development there should be a giant "STILL IN ALPHA TESTING, click here to purchase the "INCOMPLETE" version fo the game.

... You should always research things before you buy them... would you buy a car without researching it? a house without seeing the inside and background? a game without looking at reviews? A gun from a stranger with no back info on it? lol and many games online especially in the PC online world develope as the game continues, it helps to sell the game and have players to fund the developement from a company on it's 2nd game.. I'm not gonna say the game is amazing or worth buying that is entirely to each their own. I enjoy it BUT i also ONLY play PvE on a locked server with a fun community so we loot and kill zombies as well as make barricaded safe points but like i said to each their own.


There is NO MMO in the world that is not ongoing further development (WoW gets patches all the time, FFXI gets new expansions still, Eve has updates all the time, GW2 is adding in new content..) welcome to the mmo world ? lol (I don't consider it a true mmo but it is classified as one)

Wait, let me get this right, you're comparing investing in a 20 thousand dollar car, a 150 thousand dollar house to a 10-15 dollar game? No I don't do a mountain of research for a little game.

First of all, I don't trust review sites, there are games that get 60s I love, and 90s I hate. I check out the content offered, look at the pictures/videos on steam and make a decision based off that.

there is NOTHING wrong with developing a game while selling if, but here is the MASSIVE CATCH (for example dota 2)

TELL THE PEOPLE WHO ARE BUYING IT it's under development, don't sell them a pre-finished game with the false pretense of a complete one! this is false advertising, and the fact you defend it shows how much of a mindless fanboy you are.

and wait a second, are you comparing adding content patches like MMO's do to War Z? Games like wow add content to a "FINISHED" game, further adding value to their FINISHED game. They advertise their game correctly, everythign on the box is ACTUALLY in the game. A content patch is a PATCH, the game is not under development.

A content patch would be like "added new guns".

well for starter lol that is what adults call research... you probably should of done alittle more if your THIS upset about loosing $15 on a bad buy...

and second I could care less abotu the game i prefer DayZ more I'm just pointing out flaws in your logic.Oh complaining about buying something you should of known about prior to buying since there is THOUSANDS of things about it. You are right don't trust all your desicions on critics i play games that critics hated and see movies i loved that got horrible reviews but reading the reviews before buying something does help to give you a heads up on what to expect. I read all the reviews on this game. I knew it would be ♥♥♥♥ when i bought it. But i found PvE communities and discovered that it's kinda fun to slaughter zombies with people lol.

I'm not defending Hammerpoint or WarZ at all if you look through my posts nothing I say defends them I openly admit they launched it as a scam and giant lie, they stole every single idea for the game from DayZ. Titov (the producer) is a horrible game producer and designer and his logic is retarded fixing minor grass and graphic bugs before large scale updates like cars and zombie logic / pathing. lol

What upsets me isn't the bad graphics, poor game design ect ect. I could see these things from the videos/pcitres. I'm not complaining about the essence of how poor the game is. what I am complaining about is the false advertising telling me the game has content it actually doesn't. The dev's of this game should give refunds to every person they lied to.

game has only been out since dec 17 2013 but nice try.

and yes I'm using those as similar examples. Its what they are doing NOW. Not what they intended at launch. Like i said if you read earlier. They launched it as a scam and once it made a lot of money and formed a fan base they decided "Oh ♥♥♥♥ we should jsut develope this into a real game" it's not there yet. and they are horrible designers and liers out the ying yang noone can deny that with a honest statement.

but that is not the agrument the agreement is you acted like a child and impulse bought a product, and are trying to complain without knowing the current state its just silly. You should retest it before Q.Q'ing OR just act like you are up to date on it rather then saying you haven't play in "a while" which could be days or weeks or months even :P
