My issues with the 'The War Z' and Hammerpoint
These guys at Hammerpoint have to be the most unprofessional and inexperienced developers that I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with.
Despite all the bad press surrounding the blatant lies that were contained in the game's description on Steam, I decided to not jump to any conclusions and gave the game a fair chance. After all, I had already bought the game before it was removed from the store, and I really enjoyed the feeling of terror and suspense while playing.
Fast forward a few months and several pacthes later, and all I can say is that this game some how manages to get worse as time goes on. Each new patch will fix one or two problems, and break five more things at the same time. And dont even get me started about all the so called 'hackers' and cheaters that plague the servers on a daily basis with their Aimbot and ESP cheats.
The game and its forum have been attacked by 'hackers' several times, and the old forum had to be taken down for over a week due to a security breach that exposed all of the users log in information. Now the game has a new forum and things arent much different than it was the last time.
The moderators regularly delete threads and posts that they dont agree with or if it has something negative to say about the game. When I had first heard of these things happening on the forum, I had a hard time believeing some of these stories. However, now I have experienced it first hand, and I think that its absurd that these communist ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥s are allowed to get away with this kind stuff.
Let me explain my story a little better:
Mr. Sergey Titov, the main ♥♥♥♥♥ in charge at Hammerpoint, started a poll in a thread on the forum asking the community if they should allow 'hackers' and cheaters to continue playing the game by giving them special 'Jail' servers to play on, instead of banning them from playing ever again. I felt that merely asking such a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ question was a slap in the face to myself and many other legitimate players who do not cheat or use hacks. The fact that they would even entertain this kind of idea just goes to show that these guys dont care about the honest, loyal customers that bought their half ♥♥♥♥♥ excuse for a 'game' and makes it look like they are pandering to the large community of cheaters that this 'game' has attracted.
The thread with the poll was initially locked to comments, so I started a seperate thread titled 'Is this guy serious?' to discuss the topic with other members of the fourm. After just a few short hours the thread had become a 'hot' discussion and had hundreds of comments stating an overall dislike of this idea.
A day later, I log into the forum and my thread has disapeared, leaving no trace behind. So I search all over the forum to see if I can find any trace of the thread, and find nothing. There were no warnings given, no reasons given, not even a notice to say "we moved the discussion to another thread" or anything of the sort. So these scam artists just deleted the whole thing, because they didnt want people to talk about it.
This got me so ♥♥♥♥ed off that I decided to call these ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥s out on what they had done to me, and expose them for the kind of people that they are. So I made a thread titled 'My threads are being deleted' and waited to see what would happen. Well guess what these ♥♥♥♥ bags at Hammerpoint did. They banned me from using the forum and deleted all of my threads and posts. I did not break any forum rules, make any threats or use any foul language in my threads on their forum. So why did it get deleted and why was I banned?
I'm glad to see that these foreign companies are allowed to take our money, falsely advertise their product, treat their customers like ♥♥♥♥, and then hide the truth about their crappy product by filtering the forums of any negative posts. They must not teach a 'business ethics' course at business schools in Soviet Russia, because these guys obviously dont know how treat their customers.
I really tried hard to like this 'game' and at first I thought that it had so much potential, but I can no longer support this poor excuse for a company and its shady, money grabbing, cheater harboring ways. I urge all of you to ban Hammerpoint's game or at least refrain from spending money on their scam of a marketplace (the only place you can get ammo these days). Don't buy GC or rent servers from these criminals, because they dont care about you or the game. They will abandon this 'game' just like they did with 'War, inc.' once they have milked it for all that its worth.

If only they were as good fixing the game as they are deleting threads... Well, we can always dream... in a dreamworld filled with ponies and rainbows... and Kewk and Sergey eating ice cream... full of charcoal...

Too bad, I liked to read that thread.

Yeah, its too bad that these guys cant be more honest with their customers and the general public. I really enjoyed this game at first, but its more of headache now than anything else. I can honestly say that I hope this game fails so miserably that it will completely ruin Sergey Titov's career and eveyone else involved with these communist scammers.

I really wonder what will happen when DayZ SA comes. I've heard so many say that they're only playing WarZ because A) they're waiting for DayZ or B) they don't have anything better to replace WarZ.
Zombies are so trendy right now.

I liked the 'Day Z' mod, it was entertianing enough, but it also has its own seperate issues. At least they arent trying to nickle and dime all their players like Hammerpoint is with 'War Z.'
I am honestly getting a little tired of all the zombie games coming out right now. Its over saturation of the market with all these zombie shooters and copy cat games popping up everywhere. I am looking forward to the 'Day Z' stand alone and will most likely buy it whenever it releases. At least I know that my money will be going to someone who worked for it and deserves it because they actually earned it.
Check out 'Project Zomboid' if you want zombie game thats different from all of the others. Its still in production, but its already pretty fun to play.

I have it too, but I don't like it so much. The zombies seem like they are on drugs, they spot you from miles away and the combat is kind of clumsy. But yeah I agree, at least they are not trying to take money from a broken product.
I'm such a huge zombie fan so I don't get bored too easily. Right now Dead Island is my favourite just because I can behead zombies in it. And loot.
I'm also looking forward to SA because I'm hoping it would be more improved version of the mod. And I would be willing to pay for that.

Wow, just checked that Project Zomboid. Gotta love the classic look.

"Please note, this game is currently in development. You’re buying access to the game in its current state, and all future improvements or updates come free – although we consider the game to be well worth the price, please consider looking into the progress of the game before committing to purchasing."

And I'm loving it even more after seeing that warning. I hope the game will have a bright future.

if you enjoy hours of frustrating, repetitive gameplay punctuated by being killed by a cheater who has glitched himself below the world plane

Really? You'd think that after this whole War Z thing, people would be a bit more carefull before buying into unfinished games...

Go check it out for yourself. Project Zomboid.

I did. The gameplay reminds me a bit of Don't Starve.

But that's why it's good that they're warning people to think before buying. Right above the "buy" button.

Honestly I would maybe have more respect for HP if they did this too. Warned people.
"Before buying this game let us inform you that we are currently having trouble with hackers and we are deciding whether to pamper them or not. Also everytime we put a patch to fix 1 bug we break several other things. If you buy a server we would like to you know that you don't have the admin's rights to ban players, only kick them again and again. And there's still content missing and it will take 10 years to put them in the game. If you still feel like buying the game, feel free."

Roflol, yeah that'll be the day :)
So, Lennako, I've seen you post a lot on these boards and you have a distinct opinion to say the least :)
I was wondering, do you actually own the game? Or are you simply here for the drama? :)

Look, i know most of these zombie games can be bull at times (Especially Warz), but i doubt WarZ including the Dayz Standalone will become successfull. Every simular game out their is either gone or still in development (never to be completed). I still would recommend waiting for the Dayz standalone, you can still play the mod (Dayz+ARMA2=$30, still better quality than Warz=$15). I dont play the mod as often because my system specs are low (Really laggy, laptop, decent AMD motherboard with intergrated graphics and quad cpu), but i do anticipate for the xbox360 release of the Dayz game to come out.

I had high hopes for Project Zomboid... but it turned out to be a bigger scam than War Z.. It was the most burned I ever felt for (was it 5 bucks? I can't remember anymore)
