When do we call this game offically dead?
I just poked my head into the War Inc community page and it seems like thier game servers have been down for days now, including the cash shop being shut down.

No in game updates on this game in over a week, maybe even 2.

Other than a facebook note telling people they get more GC with credit card payment (which some people claim they do not even get) there have been no notifications from the devs on what's happening on the game in a week.

Over a week since the forums were promised to be back and still nothing. The devs in the past have said that the forums were only a small part of thier community leaving you to conclude that facebook/twitter were the main places for them to reach the masses but yet nothing on either of those. Even Kewk's twitter account seems to have gone quiet over the past week.

Is this the end? or is it just Hammerpoint being bad at communication as they tend to have a habit of doing.

Or is it not dead until the servers have been shut down as it seems has happened to War Inc, there are still people on defending Hammerpoint over War Inc even though from what I understand there has been no developments on that since WarZ came out.

Its likely to be the most mature response you get man.

IF that is the case then it makes me sad on a whole about this community. I think it's a fair question given the the communitcation of recent times.

My clan has already fell into disarray. Most are moving to arma 3 or waiting for the dayz standalone. The lastcomment on. The facebook page about buying more gc is nonsense, and you DONOT get any extra gc btw. Been randomly disconnecting more. Hackers have completly taken over all public servers. Im giving it one more week personally. Im hoping they are quiet and will release new map/items/cars suddenly so everyone comes back. But more than likely this is it.

So should I save my money and not buy this game then? I just checked and they have no official forums up? It says they are hacked? I think I will check out DayZ instead.

Yeah it got hacked several days ago, and it have been down for a while now, specially the forums. The game servers is losing its connection occasionally. And players being randomly banned. I'd advise you hold on 'til the DayZ standalone.

I dont know if the game will 'ever' be what most of the whiners want. Infact, I highly doubt that it will. If it was they would have nothing to complain about. Hammerpoint aren't exactly a 'BIG' game company. They dont have massive budgets for game development. All anyone can hope for is that they inform people of whats going on. It may be a case of being over run with dev probs and not having a chance to get word out. Or it could be a case of industrial sabotage. We just dont know, and unless they tell us, we may never know. But either way, Im happy with my purchase. Although Day Z is far better. And the standalone version will most likely trounce all over this game.

Well the game servers are still live and some people say it is still worth the $15. I think it's a bit of a lottery at the moment. Personally I would suggest watching some gameplay on youtube and if it looks like your sort of game then you have to deciede if the $15 is a risk you are willing to lose because it's possible that the servers might just stop working and not come back online. I hope not because I think there is room for this and DayZ.

It's that part that worries me since they managed to get out the update about the 20% GC bonus. They still have control of thier twitter/facebook accounts yet nothing on there about what is going on.

The little they have said is truly inspiring though:

"We have engaged outside experts and investigators to assist in our investigation of this incident and committed substantial resources to that effort"

So, after a week of hard work, tears and sweat they will not only restore the forums and prevent future hacker attacks but also, come up with an alternative source of fuel, find the cure for [insert random disease here] and bring peace to the galaxy...

What else can they be doing in there after an entire flipping week anyways? >.>

I'm not too sure if they will come out and say anything, just let it carry on and keep the marketplace open. Maybe it's an eyeopener the way the War Inc game servers have been shut down for the past few days with no word at all on that.

WarZ is a different kettle of fish I guess though in that as long as people are buying private servers then there will be a steady influx of revenue coming in.

Upon first release I had some great times with friends and it was always the thought of "It's gunna get even better". Most big things that were promised have still not been implemented, the game in general is buggy, hackers are abroad and it really feels like the game hasn't taken a single step forward since release.

Hammerpoint had the potential but just really ♥♥♥♥ed up. The game is dead, move on to another.
