I no longer trust steam. It is clear to me they are partnering with scammer companies to make money.
I have spent many hundreds of dollars on steam .. when I occasionally buy a dud I just assume its a one off. All games can't be good and steam has a lot of games to review.

With steams new money above community stance I have come to believe that steam partners with scam companies intentionally to let them bypass publishers, who actually have to make sure the game is playable, so they can dump their crap directly into the market.

With most games easily torrentable, I buy from steam because I assumed they would act as a traditional publisher and review the games they were going to associate their name with. Now steam is just a torrent site that collects cash.

At least on a torrent site I can protect myself from viruses and maleware trying to steal my money .. but here steam allows companies to rush out scams and take our money? Why buy Colonial Marines from Steam? Just torrent it .. then when its unplayable, sucks or a blatent scam with faked trailers you are not out $40

MY point .. if steam refuses to stand by the games they sell .. then why bother with steam? I will no longer be picking up games here unless there is no other options and I will be happy to revive my torrent days or support a competitor.
