Yesterday i posted a small tongue in cheek video i made of Infestation: Survivor Stories.
Expressing a handful of glitches, bugs and frustrating elements of the game, with a comedic approach.

It has been removed from my YouTube channel under a copyright claim by Hammerpoint Interactive them selves.
I'm needing some help in understanding the term "Copyright Claim" as searching the Internet, as a whole, let alone YouTube, results in pretty much thousands upon thousands of Infestation: Survivior Stories videos. Some are your obvious Lets Play type videos where as there are also videos that slam the game, point out why it "sucks" how its a mirror of Day Z etc etc etc
And let's all be clear; The War Z wasn't too far away from controversy neither is Infestation: Survivor Stories.

This is all down to opinion, after all if your consumers aren't critics how do you know whether you're doing things for better or worse and what crowd your leaning towards pleasing!

Anyway although The War Z never lived up to what it's promises were in it's early alpha stages, in my opinion neither does Infestation: Survivor Stories BUT i rooted for this game from day 1 and was there amongst the hordes of early alpha package buyers, hell i even bought a Pioneer Package and gave it away on my podcast and yet I am still here...like a girlfriend that keeps cheating on me yet surprising me with saucy new underwear, i keep coming back.

So if i can get the community's opinion on my video and whether or not Copyright Infringement has come in to affect on the material i have created using Hammerpoint Interactives Infestation: Survivor Storis, it would be greatly appreciated. And if possible, with your permission, compile this information together in a statement that i may create if i do feel i am being wrongly accused with Copyright Claims.

That, my friend is a hilariously true video. THAT is why they got it taken down. The end was the funniest part!

I too was a pioneed supporter back before it came out and had such high hopes for it because DAYZ was just unplayable because of bugs and glitches. I wanted this game to succeed so bad and just be good but it is awful. Aside from what you showed in the video, I find it awful that even after buying the game, you still have pay real money to buy stuff in game, unless you are playing on a private server, which again, you have to pay for. Just to buy food in game it like several hundred in game dollars for a bag of chips. ARE YOU F%$#ing kidding me?

The reason it got taken down is because nazi kewk is prowling the forums after a year of not being here. They tried to censorship these forums like a communist state. Like they do their own forums. Unfortunately he saw it, got a little boohoo over it, and thats why it was taken down. Granted there are hundreds of other videos showing how bad the game is, unfortunately yours was the one that was presented infront of him.

Technically the "copyright infringement" shouldn't affect you because your not stealing anything to make money off that video.. Its why the total biscuit video of Day one garry's incident video got taken down. They gave him a key cause they wanted him to review it so they can get... you know, sales, more ppl to buy their game. But then the review was terrible at best, and they realized it caused more hate than anything. So they took it down claiming copyright infringement because they didn't like the "idea" of him making money off some sort of ad's being played in associated with their "game" Depending the amount of views etc on youtube, you get some sort of commission off of it aswell. So they claimed copyright infringement since they didn't want him making money off their "game" When everyone knows it was because they didn't get a good review like they hoped for...

It's just dissapointing from a games company, that all i want them to achieve is success, at the end of the day

Apologies i didn't thankyou for the compliment in the post before! Hopefully this issue is resolved of smaller Channels being silenced in the hopes of it going unnoticed by the likes of Hammerpoint Interactive!

It was removed because it shows the incompetence of the company, even in an amusing way, and you had the 'audacity' (their thinking) of posting it on one of their forums and thereby drawing their attention to it.

That's the only reason. It happens quite often on the official forums as well, but never to any other type of video, which shows their usual "sweep it all under the rug and say it never happened" mentality of everything.

Kewk's other video showing his hacks of where players were ingame (he accidentally showed it on stream) and got caught, it was posted on these forums again yesterday, which is now ALSO removed due to copyright infringement.. imagine that, all it was, was showing kewk and a hack (which he claims was a dev tool) maybe 15 seconds long,...but yet, he was playing with it on and *ahem* killing ppl) But that just got sweeped under the rug also.

I don't think youtube actually looks at the video content in question when companies yell out copyright infringement, I believe youtube takes their word on it and just deletes it, without seeing what it really is...
