Out of memory - Lets post our fixes/workarounds
I know this topic has probably been brought up a million times already, but I am wondering if anyone has ACTUALLY found a fix or workaround that gets rid of these crashes for good. There may be a variety of fixes out there. I think we should post them all here! So, I'll go first! Oh wait, I don't have one. :) Please post!

also this game needs 64-bit os with 8gb of ram and a very good desktop 4 core cpu + very good desktop gpu with 1gb video ram

verify game cache

post details about your hardware (cpu, gpu, memory) and os (windows version n if 32/64 bits)

try this if u have windows 7/8

1. Run CMD as Administrator
2. Type:
bcdedit /set IncreaseUserVA 2560 - If you have 3 GB of RAM
bcdedit /set increaseUserVa 3072 - if you have 4 GB of RAM
3. Enjoy game without crashes <3

Remember that you must run CMD as Administrator.

System is not the issue. Win 8 Pro 64 bit, i7 3770k 3.9ghz, 2x GTX Titan SLI, 16gb DDR3 1866mhz RAM.

The command lines you provided, do you know much about them? What else are they going to do to my system, are there any other effects? Do I have to type this every time my computer boots up or do the settings stay?

Also, you say "if you have 4 GB of RAM, etc." - does this mean there is a seperate line for 16gb of ram?

Thanks for the input!

it looks like ur in number of thread so r u getting out of memory or r u talking in general cause i dont see how ur getting out of memory with your specs

the only thing i can think of is sli cause its the only odd thing

also do not do commands its just for people w 3/4 system and windows 7/8

the crashing i do not have issues with any crashing. if you crash with any application windows writes a dmp file that you can open and get details about the crash with windbg. often applications crash due bugs and issues with apis they license/use that also have bugs. plus games there can be issues with drivers... so always use latest drivers, but not the alpha/beta ones cause they could be unstable.

I don't understand how I can get the out of memory crash either, with my specs. But it is the only crash I get. I am going back to running the game without SLI (default) and see what happens..

here on toms hardware

Low memory warning GTX 670 4GB SLI

which most likely means driver issue/ api incompatibility

bleeding edge is always risky since its different than what is developed/tested on

can u look in directx log file or log files and post the exact win32/directx error message and error code and if possible api call

if u search web u will find number of posts about such error with different game with these

I actually think I found a fix in here: ! Note the heading where it tells you to adjust Compatibility to Windows Vista Service Pack 2. Using Win 8 64bit and this seems to have fixed the crashes for me! :)
