Game crashes because it needs 2 GB of harddrive space free but I have 70 GB Free.

When I try to join a server the game alt+tabs to a window that says:

You Need at least 2 GB of free space on your system drive ( C: ).
Otherwise the game may crash!

I have over 70gb free on my 1T WD Caviar Blue harddrive.

verify game cache

look in windows application/system log for why its crashing

also make sure windows, drivers, directx runtime, c/c++ runtime, .net runtime are all up to date

The error message is just missleading. The game needs 2GB of free space on the drive where your temporarily files are. I was using a RAM disc for my temp files and I got this error message too. And now I have to choose between a fast RAM disc and this crappy game. I think the choice is clear.

I found that moving the game to Program Files (x86) solved the issue. I believe it's because that file folder doesn't get cached for my ram disc
