Fresh Start Discussion

Hello Survivors,

We wanted to get your feedback on the following Server Type we've been discussing at OP productions:

Fresh Start Servers - Fresh characters, fresh GI, better loot, minor rule set changes and balance tweaks for ISS that give it that original War-Z feel.

Tweaks being considered for Fresh Start Servers:
-No more early revival
-Improved loot spawn rates
-Market access only available inside Safe Zones at NPCs
-No Locker Boxes

How it works:

A player could choose to reset their account or create a new one specifically for playing on the Fresh Start servers. Like how Veteran servers require a minimum amount of hours to play. Fresh start would require a reset account and once you reset it you could play only on Fresh Start servers with other fresh start players.

The Fresh Start experience would be optional and would not affect regular ISS servers or accounts.

We'd like your feedback if you'd be interested in trying this. =)

sounds awesome. No more vets with snipes. More all around fair pvp with equal playing fields.

I like it and I don't like it, Its a really good idea but if this was done then take half of the official servers away leaving maybe like 15 or 20 to choose from instead of 35, because there is already a low population in servers and if people switched there accounts to Fresh Starts then there would be empty servers or servers with 1 or 2 people on them and that's just not fun, and maybe make every account have two sides the old way and the fresh start way with 5 characters each so you could flip back and forth if you wanted to. I just don't want to see empty servers more then there already is, or run into a situation wear you and a friend want to play together but your friend is on fresh start and your the old way and cant play together, if you were able to switch back and forth then that would be awesome I don't want to see the community split up and have empty servers and not be able to play with friends or other survivors because they choose to switch or stay

I vote yes i might even come back to playing if this is done. Still like what was said above i'd like to see somethings fixed and finshed also.

You can create an official ISS Forum account if you do not have one already and join the other discussion as well.

Again, this is a discussion for your thoughts. Doesn't mean we are doing it but we are considering this. Any input you have whether it be pro or con, can be expressed but we would love to see a balance of views on why this is good or bad.

Is ISS forsaken? If such a thing is done, there will be no people from ISS.

I'll start playing again if you add some pve servers. The pking is too rampant and nearly impossible for players without ubergear to avoid.

So, no, starting over will just have people with no life getting gear and then doing rampant pk on more casual players again because the gameplay itself is broken.

No thank you! All I need are PVE servers where you can't kill people. Not to worry about if someone could hear me shooting zombies. So bring PVE servers for PVE players! More zombies in the woods. I like the ♥♥♥♥♥ that my skill tree is done. I need to work hard to get there. I can allready delete my character if I want fresh start and do giveaways.

HAHA you really think there going to do any of that. They won't bring out a PVE server they would lose to much money off the people that rent server's just for that. Giveaways now thats even funnier this game will never ever give anything away yeah other games do it all the time with small stuff this game don't even do that. I'd reather start from scratch and have a even playing feild from the start with no lockboxes, no buying things execpt at safezones, faster loot spawns. For that i would gladly give up my GI and i have a ton of stuff in it. It's no use to me i don't play anymore just playing on PVE server's looting got boring fast and i'm not going to an offical server to play and just give my stuff away to hacker's.

if i could keep my GI to play on official servers then switch over to fresh start gi when playing that i would be happy to do so ^^

If they did this it would probably end up being the final rusty nail in the WARZ coffin. Myself and many others have stuck with the game through thick and thin. Through the shoddy updates and the questionable development team. The inexcusable uncalled for GI wipes and the total map orientation revamps.

Requiring a character wipe is not acceptable for anyone. Much more so the people who spent the time to get multiple characters fully leveled out. Wiping the GI is reasonable in my opinion due to the more balanced and faster refresh rate on loot drops and it gives the devs an excuse to cleanse the GI of.... Questionably obtained equipment.

" We'd like your feedback if you'd be interested in trying this. =) " This seems more like a taunt than an actual request. If it is indeed an actual request then for christs sake don't screw with character level progress.

Also where the frakk are the remaining skills in the skill trees that are over a year overdue? How about completing forementioned and for that matter promised features before altering the games balancing yet again causing mass destabilization.

Developers need to stop searching for shortcuts and fulfill their promises to their base.
