This game has gone downhill...
I remember almost a year ago, when there use to always be 200/200 players on almost all the us servers, now most of them have less then 10! I know people play on Caliwood, but only about 30/100 each time I check. What happend??

u can expect games, like movies and music to slowly go down the charts...

so how many times can u listen to the same song over and over again. eventually u get tired. the same for movies and all forms of entertainment

its still very popular within top 200 most played games on steam, just under top 100

what happened is its now 2 years since it become available

before there was really was no competition but dayz mod

now its 2 years later

there is competition from dayz sa and unturned and others coming

and since then lots of other games coming out of all types and some of those newer games are now above this game on the charts.

other games like dayz have also come down the chart in response to competition and newer ones like unturned have gone above even it.

eventually unturned will go down the chart and some other game will replace it as top for this gendre perhaps h1z1 perhaps some other from the long list of this type being worked out

hey perhaps even iss: new beginnings. who knows depends on what they do and what others do since where u r on chart depends on how u compete against every other game for entertainment time and there is limited amount of that...

stil right now of this type its about 3rd place which is not bad at all considering all the negative posts, reviews, articles this game has gotten. and considering that it was in #1 place for this type of game for well over year and a half...

this game gets boring really fast, pvp in kinda ok,pve is rally bad...this is what happen.
iss new begining or w/e you call it,will be the same, people will play it for shot period of time and the game will die.
this is because of the bad repo of the WarZ and its Dev team.

Your missing something about online game's Doc they can be expanded apon. Adding new items, maps, playtype's, new crafting stuff the list goes on and on. Theres game's out there 5 years and older that keep things fresh by adding new things. Can't do that with music and movies. So your points kind of invalid. Thats the thing they have not done much with this game so yeah it got old for people. When did it ever sit in 1st place in its type of game and how's it sitting in 3rd now please explain that one to me. What game's do you consider it's type.
I'd consider all these games in this type

Unturned
Rust
L4D2
DayZ
7 Days To Die
No More Room In Hell
State Of Decay

All above ISS

Supposed MMOs when they 'drop down the charts' don't drop like a rock. And it's damn easy to be #1 in your category when you're the ONLY ONE in your category. lmao You see dozens of bannings a day and have for over a year... so yeah, it's great that there are so many hackers and people with multiple accounts bumping the numbers up. God, you throw such BS around, I think you actually believe your crap most of the time.

The game stayed in the top 100 for nearly two years - thats damn respectable by any games standard, especially as this game is from a small dev team with limited budget, minimum advertising and a whole lot of undeserved bad press.

HA, that's a good one! They earned every single bit of what they've gotten.

The vast majority of bad press this game got came because DayZ mod players got their panties in a bunch because someone had the gall to release a game that was similar to their fanboy craze. I should know because I was playing DayZ at the time and before this game ever became avaliable the DayZ forums were filled with people talking about how they needed to organize and do whatever they could to ruin this game. All before anyone even had a chance to play it, before anything more than screenshots were released. So when those same people started writing very biased reviews everyone else bandwaggoned behind them because anyone who didn't got flamed to death.

The funny part is on release the game was really bad. It would have gotten negative reviews without the smear campaigne. But those same fanboys never relented and continue to try to smear it even though it has gotten leaps and bounds better. And what you have now is a group of people who spend way too much time going on a forums and talkiong trash about a game they never even played.

An objective look at the game would see that on release it was garbage (I played it for 20 minutes and vowed never to start it up again). But it has steadily (if slowly) been improved since then, up until a few months back when they decided to focus on developing the new engine instead of spending their time trying to patch this one. The game as it is now is decent but not great.

Fully agree Quix - that seems a pretty fair and balanced assesment of WarZ. I bought it on the first sale so was expecting a trainwreck of a game, instead I ended up with 300 hours in it, and had a lot of fun.

Wrong. Zero evidence for it, The War Z actually started in a forum by one of their developers "Roman Stepanov", aka RomanS.

Would you guys play this if we make it on PC as a huge open world like in Chernarus. With lots of towns, villages, drivable vehicles, clans, trading merchants, resources, etc?

We are thinking about doing this right now. This way you wont have problems with servers, buggy environment and combat system, and all the exploration zombie surviving you want

How about it?”

Then look at the DayZ forums at the same time, ZERO EVIDENCE OF THEM MASSING AND PLANNING TO ATTACK WAR Z.

Stop spreading misinformation you shill. You War Z defenders really need to hate on Day Z for some reason I don't understand. It's like you need a...scapegoat.

The developers brought it upon themselfs by lying, being jerks and generally being sharlatans. Jesus, get some history of this game before opening your mouth. Don't even try blaming it on the bandwagon.

Leaps and bounds better? Do you have the complete skill tree? YOU DON'T! AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

I got a refund for it. It's not decent, it's still messy and buggy.

If the so called DayZ player's where spreading bad reviews about the game were where they doing it? On the DayZ forums, The Steam forums for this game, on youtube? Were where these bad reviews posted? Here are some stright reviews they earned.

GameRankings 18.89%
Metacritic 20/100
Review scores
Publication Score
Eurogamer 3/10
GameSpot 2.0/10
GameSpy 0.5/5 stars
IGN 3.0/10
PC Gamer US 30/100
Metro 1/10

Then they had the whole lying about there product and had to give player's refunds. Then they where bullying people on the steam forums for posting bad reviews about the game and banning them. Then Sergey Titov referred to spawn campers in The War Z as "♥♥♥♥♥♥s" real professional. Then you had the whole ordeal where hacker's got a hold of the sorce code and player's personal info. Used there accounts and got them banned and ISS even knew it was hacker's who did this and still banned the player's for a long time some got there accounts back but not all there stuff and some to this day are still banned. All i could go on for days with all the shady ♥♥♥♥ this company pulled but i think you get the idea by now. They earned everything they got and deserve more then what they got really.

I have neither the time nor the inclination to go back through 2+ years of forum posts to find them, but I know for 100% certainty that they were there. I know this because I saw them because at the time I was participating in the DayZ forums with some regularity.

Stop spreading misinformation you shill. You War Z defenders really need to hate on Day Z for some reason I don't understand. It's like you need a...scapegoat.
As opposed to people like yourself who don't own the game you are on the forums of trying to bash? And if you've ever read my posts you would know how laughable your comments are. I dont hate DayZ, in fact I loved it for a long time before the hacking in it got to truely outrageous levels. I could have forgiven DayZ for all of its other faults if I didnt have to be consantly worried that someone would instantly kill every player on the server, or spawn in vehicles that werent part of the Mod, or set entire sections of the map on fire with the press of a button, or any number of other game breaking hacks that make your run of the mill Aimbot or EPS look like playing fair. Hacking in the Standalone does not seem to be nearly as bad as it was in the Mod, but the SA needs so much more work before it becomes a fun game.
Plus if I'm a "shill" Im the worst one ever to do the job because I constantly point out the flaws of the game, I just also happen to defend the game against what I see as unjustified attacks.

I got a refund for it. It's not decent, it's still messy and buggy
If you got a refund for it then how would you know anything about the current state of the game?

If the so called DayZ player's where spreading bad reviews about the game were where they doing it? On the DayZ forums, The Steam forums for this game, on youtube? Were where these bad reviews posted?
All of the above.
And as for the scores you posted I have no reason to doubt that those are accurate. When the game was first released (which is when 90% or more of the reviews were posted about it) it was complete trash. In fact the vast majority of things that the "haters" complain about happened a year or more ago.

If you doubt the effect of the hater/bandwagon mentality against this game all you have to do is look to see how many people who dont play the game (many who have never have played it at all) spend so much of their time on the forums talking trash about it. It makes no sense. I mean I have played plenty of games that I absolutely loathed, Crusder Kings 2 for example. Attrocious game with no redeaming qualities at all. But do you see me on the forums constnatly bashing it? No, I simply removed it from my computer and rarely even give it a second thought. And yet that is most of what people do here, and they flame and bash anyone who has the audacity to say they enjoy it. They fill every thread with hate.

You dont like the game? Fine. You hate the devs? Great. Never want to play it again? Perfect. Let it go and move on. Dont lurk around the forums for years after you stop playing, its sad.

No, it isn't. He just uses everything he can possibly think of to defend this company and game. Doesn't matter if it's true or even makes sense sometimes. He's a hardcore fanboy of these guys.
