Unplayable Graphical Bug on Macbook
After loading the game normally on first launch, I switched to fullscreen and played for about a half-hour.

Quitting and reloading loads the game fullscreen but shifted up and to the left by about 5/6 of the screen. The rightmost 1/6 of screen is a flashing white bar. It looks sort of like a resolution problem, but the buttons on the usable part of the screen are (sort of) actually where they should be i.e. clicking below and right of an interactable causes the desired effect.

Bottom line, game is unplayable after second load on OSX 10.9. Removing local content and reinstalling did nothing to fix the issue.

Whoa... That sounds like some sort of shader glitch. Um, can you try clicking in the top right (where the menu button "should be") to bring up the menu and then clicking on Settings and changing the Fullscreen Filter to something different? That might help with the positioning issue.

Otherwise do the same thing and switch the game back to windowed mode. I know that anticipating where the buttons actually are is a hassle, but it's just a graphical position issue - the buttons are still actually there and usable, it just doesn't look like it.

Thanks, that worked. I wanted to try it, but had no idea where the menu button was.

Going back to windowed mode and back to fullscreen results in the game working normally. Although, the shading options don't do anything noticeable and it defaults back to bilnear every restart anyway.

As is the game is playable. Unfortunately, remembering to toggle back to windowed every time I quit is going to be obnoxious :-/

I'm having the same issue on a new Macbook Pro running 10.9.2. Clicking around to bring up the menu worked, but it left me wondering why the menu isn't a) avaiable on the main game screen and b) bound to a standard key like ESC? If it's possible to do, I would love to see those added in future builds! Would have saved me quite the headache.

Same here. The problem for me is that I'm at the beginning of the game, where you select between two available missions. The game at this stage forces you to select one of those two missions. The top right menu is deactivated at this point in game, and the button "select" where I'm supposed to click to continue is unreachable.
I'm basically blocked. Unplayable after 1h in.

What's actually happening here is that OpenGL is doing strange things on those Macbooks, I have no idea why that's happening - on PC I'd suggest updating drivers.

The button should be reachable - none of the button positions change with this bug, it's the visible textures that are moved, so the select button should simply be in the bottom right area of the screen. If that doesn't work, take a look in your ~LibraryPreferences folder, for a file named unity.QCFdesign.DesktopDungeons.plist (or something similar) that's what's telling the game to go fullscreen at startup. Either edit or delete that and you should be back to windowed mode.

It is, but finding it becomes a tricky task of navigating into the game from the main menu and finding the spot where the button should be. This is why I'm suggesting a menu keymap be added in lieu of a fix for the bug itself (and perhaps access to the menu options from the first screen).

When we are into this phase of the game, we HAVE TO click on SELECT before being able to reach "menu". But as everything is slightly offset to the top right of the screen (+50px +50px) the button SELECT is not clickable. I created a second kingdom and from there I change the option then went back to the first one.

Thanks for your help.
