I agree with you. The amount of content in this thing is astounding. I've already beaten the main story-line, got rainbow borders on all but the Vicious Dungeons, and earned all Steam Achievements and yet keep losing hours to bettering my play.
Case in point: Monk + Poison Dagger = Effective! (so obvious, why didn't I try this before?)
Even after all I've accomplished, I feel exactly the same way that you do. Watching others play on YouTube I realize that I take comparatively zero time before I make a move. After playing each map dozens upon dozens of times, I'm used to "quick wins" using specific class/race combinations. The trouble is, without experimenting with different setups, much needed but little known tricks to besting particular maps are left unknown, making you convinced what you're attempting is impossible. As an example, I would never have thought to utilize the Mace with BURNDAYRAZ to remove multiple Death Protections off a particular boss without watching someone else do it.
Myself, I'm pretty content with my current skill level at the game, but I know that I could keep spending time to improve after at least a thousand hours of playing. Very few games can claim that kind of value; not just in hours (that's easy), but in sheer quality.
I really can't help but have a little fanboy rant for this game once a month or so :P I'll keep talking about it until it gets the recognition it deserves!
