Getting your first character
So I'm a new player and would like to level up past lvl10.

Judging by the day7 login reward description the cheapest character costs 200 of those purple thingies.

I got to level 10 in 20 minutes or something. Maybe 30. Now I have to log in daily for a week just to get myself a character that I can actually level up? And it's not even gonna be the one I want, which costs 400.

Is this for real? How can a player be expected to stay if the only way to play from the start is to pay up or wait for a week?

you are supposed to get 400es by completing the raft the first time

As mentioned above if you finish the Prologue questline in the Raft (jail) then you will get 400 Eternity Splinters.

Yeah, it's completed but not a single splinter awarded for doing so.

The story mentions no such thing.

Then you should contact with the devs. They will fix it if a bug. It is already hapened to an another player not long ago.

You should get 400 at the end of the prologue and if you log in for a week you get 200 more.

If you haven't gotten the 400, you may be either bugged, or on an old account that predates the change to splinters. Contact CS and they should hook you up with your splinters.

The Doge, you will be able to choose from all the available charaters in the game you can play as to unlock, for the 400 ES(Eternity Splinters) that will be given to you as your 7th day log in reward, trust me...there are a lot of characters to choose from that you can unlock for those 400 Eternity Splinters that you will get as your 7th day, log in reward.

Oh yeah, until then...and even afterwards past the 7th day youve played the game, actually at anytime you wish to change playing characters to level 10 to try them all out to see which ones you like the best, you can do this at any time you want to do this.

I have a few characters in my own roster, that i have gotten for free( mainly from random hero unlock token), and they have not hardly been played wit or tried out much, anyhow...i always just use my level 60, Silver Surfer character, and his Exiles costume...damn!!! Silver Surfer is bad ass!!! No Kidding!!!

I really hate the fact you only get 400. A lot of the characters I wanted to play all ended up at 600 and really started me off with a disappointing experience.
Gsites90, it's ok, the game might seem like how you described it as to most at first, but not to me...I think at first, the game starts out good and continues to just get even better as you progress through the story mode, of course with only characters such as Captain Anerica, Iron Man, Black Widow, and the Hulk as characters they have you play with/as to try out first...but at any point after you've completed the games tutorial, you can pull up the character roster screen on your computer and try out all available heroes to play with/as in game, except for: Nick Fury(he's a brand new character, and has only so far been released for play in the game as/with, if one purchases him with the required amount of ES, or with real money(G's).

Anyhow, I hope this info does help you, and is useful...if you come across any problems in game, or come across any possible bugs that you find while in game that keeps you from playing it, please contact the games support team, give them details about what your problem or problems are and they will get back to you ASAP

What's the value of a good video game to you? How much do you play on average of a good video game? Like is 200 hours of gameplay worth $30? $40? $60?

When I play a good ftp I'm generally ready to throw $20 at least at it if I'm going to play it 30 hours or more. Some games don't have good content at the price level of course. I think MH does especially when you factor in coupons and bogos and bundles and sales.

As for farming eternity splinters in current game. I think it's nearly at a low point. I played since launch and they could definately be more generous considering the amount of stuff in the store now compared to those early days splinters were first introduced. I'd recommend suggesting on the official forums to boost splinter drop rates in some way. I bet a lot of players will agree with you.
Gnarl, yes I agree with you that players would like to see more frequent drop of ES in game...as for me though..they do seen to drop at a constant rate as one would sometimes say while playing the game, also check out all of the great new items in game at the Anniversary event vendor in Avengers Tower, that you can nab by spending all those cake slices that you will be able to collect in game when you defeat enemies, and grab all the loot from the Anniversary cake boost that you can pick up...if you collect a certain amount of those boosts/buffers, then you'll get a cake loot explosion to which includes: cube shards, ES, research drives, Omega Access files, uniques, cosmic items that are really good, and more. Marvel Heroes 2016 is a great game to play, and I think Gaz has done great with it, they are continuously making the game great and fun to play throughout and with every new update that they throw out on everyone, by adding new items, and sometimes even new characters to play with/as in the game.
