Worms Reloaded or Revolution?

A few friends and I are looking for a new 4-player game to play together, and the Worms series looks pretty fun. Would you recommend Worms Reloaded or Worms Revolution, or something else entirely?

Both are a good choice and very different from each other so I find it hard to recommend one of them for specific reasons. Though I personally prefer Revolution for its options, humour and improved single-player experience.

Another great alternative choice would be Worms Armageddon. It's relatively old (1999) but still supported and kept up-to-date, only problem is it's not available on Steam (anymore) and not obtainable from local stores. You may try to obtain it from sites such as Amazon or eBay, it's quite worth the effort :)

I'm also curious as an owner of reloaded, whether it's worth getting Revolution.

Worms Armageddon was added yesterday, I think. If you wait for a sale, it's a great bang for your buck.

Yep, considering I can tell you based on first hand experience that Worms Reloaded's multiplayer doesn't work, and based on second hand that Revolution sucks.

Due to there being a free-weekend on Revolution I and a couple of friends have tried it out.
Repeatedly getting lagged in your movement til the time runs out, loss of the mouse cursor, a chatpanel covering 1/4 of the screen and terrible default keybinds makes me wanna recommend you to look towards Reloaded instead of the new game

definitely reloaded...after few years on steam it still has bugs but it's much more fun than revolution... 3d graphics is not the best choice... but adding water elements is fun... so we are waiting for reloaded graphics with revolution physics...

Reloaded is much more like classic worms. I think it's the better choise. Plus it look's a lot nicer!

For me Reloaded > Revolution. I have been a worms fan Since Worms 2. Until recently Worms Armageddon was my favorite but I still really wanted an HD remake. Reloaded came out and I was very happy though there are some small things only a huge fan of the series would notice are missing when compared to Armageddon. It's still great though and I have had a blast playing it at LAN parties.

This being said when Revolution came out I tried it and disliked it instantly. Not sure what it is but it just feels different and not as fun as reloaded or armageddon

I think Worms Reloaded is much better. It's more clear and as it's less realistic it's more fun. Also there are nearly no online players in Worms Revolution. :-/ In Worms Reloaded there are (very few) games most of the time. Worms Armageddon has the most players online and got it's last patch last year AFAIK. But the Worms Armageddon community seems a bit lofty to me.
