DLL issue with granny2.dll

When i try to start the game I just get error titled "Fatal Granny Installation Error"
message itself says "granny2.dll has been incorrectly installed as C:/Windows.old/Program Files\...\granny2.dll. TO avoid versioning problems, granny2.dll must always be installed in an application-specific directory, and never in a system directory" Any suggestions?

grab that file and drop it into the sacred2/system folder

It is already there :S

then try to delete it at "C:/Windows.old/Program Files\...\granny2.dll". why the heck is the .old folder there anyway

Because i use steam that was installed on my old system, it worked after reinstallation, so i did nothing :P

And there lies your problem... you have to install everything anew if you did Windows reinstall and expect things to work.

But they do work with all the other games, but Sacred 2 :S

I have the same problem with Heroes V. you solved the problem? I also have a folder in Steam windows.old

I think the only possible solution is reinstalling the game into normal windows
