Startup error

everytime I want to start Sacred 2 Gold there comes the Startscreen where he setup the Input, System.... and after he reaches "Setup Engine..." a Window opens. Its title is Startup Error with the following text:

I tried to run it in Windows XP SP3 mode, as admin, in windowed Mode and with "--nocpubinding --skipopenal"..... but nothing worked so far. Has anyone another Idea?
I have the newest driver for my Graphic card

I believ so, how do i check ? where would i install them from ?

yeah the driver ist installed properly.

I had this issue. If you go in to steam apps and find sacred 2 then open redist and reinstall the physx, VC, and DXsetup. Mine were here C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Sacred 2 Gold\redist
It runs the game but i now have no text in any of the boxes at the main menu

i tried to install it but as I wanted to install physX again from the folder I got a new problem: I can agree to the terms and than start the installation but after that there is just a window with the word Text and nothing else. It dont install anything and I just can cancel it.
The two other programs I have reinstalled but it dont helped me.

ok problem was that I had a newer version of the physX. I deinstalled it and installed the one in the sacred folder but unfortunately it dont solve my problem. :(

ok it works now. I had to reinstall all 3 files + start this game in steam with "--nocpubinding --skipopenal"+ run it in windows XP SP3 mode + run it as admin.... this is ridiculous. but thanks for the help.

Had the same problem, here's the fix i found on some old forum, same as Yawgmoth really but explained better for the less savvy, like me.

- Setting Sacred2.exe to "Winxp sp3 comp mode and run as admin"

- I created a new shortcut to Sacred2.exe adding the
'-nocpubinding -skipopenal' to the end. Like so: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\sacred 2\system\sacred2.exe" -nocpubinding -skipopenal

- I also reinstalled all 3 redist like mentioned above.

Hello guys i have the same problem now.
I but the setting from sacred2 like LYUZE and YAWGMOTH explain but how can i reinstall the 3 redist ? you mean [DirectX, PhysX, VC] ?
Hope you can help me with this
