does this still have online multiplayer

I had sacred 2 for the ps3 and it had online, 3 people were hosting late night. Can/do people still host on this game, or not since I hear the servers were shut down? And if worst comes to worst, how do you play online? I was thinking of getting this. Thx.

ps: online as in other people not in the same house or even state

Official MP is shut down,you can still play MP via LAN [tools like "Tunngle" create a virtual LAN that enables you to play with people all over the world].

So yes,online mp is still kinda there but needs freeware tools to function
