Define: Better?
What exactly are you looking for in this game? What is it you don't like?

I love this game. It engages me more than Skyrim, Two Worlds 1 or 2, Gothic 3, Witcher 1 & 2, all of those I still play but this game has me hooked somehow.

You will have to be clear on what you don't like about this game. To simply say "it sucks", doesn't communicate what the problem is or what it is you're expecting.

No one can know if you will like the game....

only you can know this.....

and not even you can know this until you have put some time into the game....

Maybe you will lets us all know what the outcome is.

You want "ME" to give you a reason to play? I don't think so.
You have to figure that out for yourself.

What hooks me?
The exploration. Its a huge world with towns and caves sprawled out all over.
I have some 50 hours into one character and have only reveled 15% of the map.
15%!!!

The loot. There is all kinds of things to be found. Weapons, runes, to not only upgrade your character but also can be forged into weapons.

The leveling of your character. Trying to find the right mix.

You want a challenge. See how far you can get a character in "hardcore" mode.
I just created a Dragon Mage in hardcore mode and I am on pins and needles because I have nearly 8 hours invested in this character and I don't want one death to be the end of it all.

If none of that interests you, then I suggest you find a different game.

play on Silver difficulty, if you want something more difficult.

I think that if you typically enjoy this type of game that further in the game you will start to find a groove and begin to enjoy it more.

Best 10 bucks I ever spent.

BTW, my hardcore Dragon Mage died last night. AHHH!!!
I started a new one already.

If difficulty is an issue, start with Silver Difficulty, the monsters are stronger right off the bat. Also everything up to Sloeford and half way to the capital is fairly low level, once you hit the cemetary on the main road things get toughter because your'e now fighting skeletons who won't just die because you hit them a lot; you need magic weapons or spells to get the job done. The further you go the tougher it gets. I always use the first areas just to rank up my characters and try out new builds and such. Once I'm ready, I run around.

Also, your character is usable in multiplayer and solo games, so if you want to level up for some challenge, start a LAN game and go to the cave where the portals are, from there you can jump to any of the major places on the map (not including the two new areas from the expansion.)

The difficulty of the game is based on your level, the higher it is the more difficult you are allowed to make it.
