Does this game work now?

When I played a couple years ago, the game was horribly broken, and no help from the fact that the company who developed it no longer exists. I know the Sacred franchise has since been picked up by Deep Silver... have they done something to fix the game?

I really loved this game, and I was super disappointed that it was so broken. Does this version... work?

Yep. I've already put in over 100 hours since it came to Steam and haven't had a single crash. Others haven't been as lucky, but it seems like the majority of us aren't noticing any major bugs.

My retail version worked fine for me years ago...my steam version works fine now, and over 200 hours played since it released on steam.

Some people are still having issues, but not all of us.
