--List of Tips, Tweaks & Tweaks-- WITH Elite Texture Links!
#1 - Turn turn off the ANNOYING battle music, go to:

a - C:\Users\"Your User"\AppData\Local\Ascaron Entertainment\Sacred 2\options.txt (You have to turn off hidden folders)

b - Find the line volume_group02 and change the value to 01

c - Save the file

d - Set it to read only

e - Enter the game -- BAM!

#2 - For better performance and less crashes, enter -nocpubinding -skipopenal in your launch options in Steam

#3 - For light Anti Aliasing without big performance hit, try SweetFX. If you need help, let me know.

#4 - Elite Textures are working fine with Gold version and community patch. I am looking for a hosting site and I will host the Elite Textures ISO if anyone is interested! (Permission was granted from Deep Silver to redistribute)

UPDATE: Elite Textures Up (With Permission from Deep Silver!)

Part 1 - http://depositfiles.com/files/jzlb8plrz

Part 2 - http://depositfiles.com/files/guo4pfn2m

ENJOY! Remember, you will probably have to tweak memory settings to not crash with Elite textures. Update coming..

Music never bothered me so i never felt the need to use this tweak even though i have known about it for a long time...May help some others who find it annoying.

For better Anti Aliasing, open you up your control panel ( for me it's Nvidia )

Click Manage 3D settings
find Sacred 2

some of these for instance i have edited in mine

Anisotropic Filtering: 16x
Antialiasing - Transparency: 8x ( Supersample )
Power management mode: Prefer maximum performance
Texture filtering - Negative LOD bias: Clamp
Texture filtering - Quality: High quality
Triple buffering: On
Vertical sync: On

SweetFX provides light AA with little to no performance cost.. I can provide instructions to use it if anyone is interested.

^ idk if that is or not cause i don't use it but i use my tweaks and force it through the drivers..always better than in-game, do this for all my games.

Don't really know what to say to help :/

I blame the AMD junk :P

The music is the best part of this game. Music-haters and I are never going to get along very well.

By the way, my tweak isn't to kill the music in the game, rather, it's to kill the non stop switching between combat music and regular music. I like the combat music.. but not after the 5 millionth time of hearing it..

What exactly does -nocpubinding do?
Chaoticevl 13 Sty, 2013 - 17:46
Is there any way to increase the font size of the text for tool tips and what not?
TheDigitalHippos 14 Sty, 2013 - 10:34
@Chaotic -- Try unchecking the UI option?

@ Schwaz -- If I remember correctly, it makes the game use multiple cores instead of binding to one of your cores.

Thanks for letting me know the options was there, but it really doesn't do anything at all in case, the text is still to small to read most of the time.

Thank you for the reply DigitalFarce. What you say makes sense. I went ahead and added the command prompt options before you responded and the game ran smoother.

My machine is older and previously when I started the game it stuttered quite a bit at first but after 15 minutes or so it pretty much stopped.

Now it's pretty smooth right from the start. I didn't notice the stutter.
My PC has a pair of Xeon processors (both dual core) and if the game was binding to one than that may have what caused the stuttering.

@Schwan -- Awesome! Glad it worked!

@Fade -- Disable in game AA. Then, Unzip sweetfx into your game directory and edit the sweetfx_settings.txt file. Make sure SMMA AA = 1 and LUMEN SHARPEN = 0

So cool to have so many tweakers join in the fun. I will be digging for more tweaks and updating regularly.
Heinrich6745 14 Sty, 2013 - 18:45
^ I can help with that, was planning on posting more in the group topic i made about the camera tweak,

My game is fully of tweaks only down side is some of the bigger ones prevent me from playing online with others who do not have the same edits as i do...either i take them out and restore the defaults or others get the same files as me ( which my cousin has since i gave him mine ).

So just fyi about some of the tweaks ;)

Yes, it goes where the Sacred 2 executable is:

Steam\steamapps\common\Sacred 2 Gold\system

Turn off AA, check out the jagged lines. Go back out, turn on SweetFX and watch again :)
