Inquisitor immobilization bug with Steam version and Community Patch?
Well, I just got hit again with the inquisitor immobilization bug against a couple of ghost champions, with Community Patch (CP) version 1.20, and the Steam version of the game. I have disabled the CP in order to test if this happens again.
What happens when the bug strikes, is that when your inquisitor fights any creatures with freeze, stun, or any related immobilizing attack, the condition becomes permanent. Permanent, as in, even if you teleport out of the fight, you will still be immobillized at the teleport site.
Fortunately, you can still drink healing potions while immobilized, or I would have been killed by this bug several times already. But you can do nothing else. No attacks, no moving, no combat arts. The only way out is to exit the game.
The thing that's bothering me the most, is that I never, ever had this problem on my old Deep Silver setup, with CP version 1.20.
I've now had the bug on the Steam version with both CP 1.20 and CP 1.40hf.
So far it hasn't happened with the vanilla version, so I'm about to start playing on that permanently, in order to see if it happens again.
I know that with the last time it bugged my inquisitor against CP Gar Colossus, it stopped when I disabled the CP. However, I think that that might have also removed Gar Colossus' stunning special attack.
If I eventually see this bug on the vanilla Steam version, I will be stopping playing on Steam, and going back to my old Deep Silver setup. I might think about doing that anyway, actually.
Does anybody know anything about this?
