For me, this game still holds very well!
I dunno... I love Sacred 2! I don't consider it one of the best games ever, but... since it's release, from time to time I go play it, and I already bought Sacred 2 three times!
The 1st time I played was when I downloaded the demo for PC when the game was released, but since I didn't had a powerful PC back then, I didn't bought... because, if you remember corretly, the games graphics where something extraodinary back then (and I still love the graphics).
Then, the PS3 version got released and I bought the special edition. This version was awful, but the time me and my cousin played side by side couch co-op made up for the bugs... we were looking for a game like this after we cleared Champions of Norrath 1 and 2 countless times with every class and combination possible... we needed an upgrade... we needed Sacred 2!
Some years later, I got an awesome PC and I wanted Sacred 2, but couldn't find a physical version, and steam wasn't selling it... so I bought Sacred 2 Gold from Deep Silver, digital, and their service sucks so much it hurts... but it was playable.
Some years later, Steam starts releasing Sacred 2 Gold, and I bought it again!
Today I noticed that a "new" CM Patch was released, so, I downloaded it and went to play Sacred 2 again... I just don't get bored of it >_> I can almost consider as a guilty pleasure... I dunno... and this new patch made the game even more challenging, and that is freaking awesome!
I got bored of both Torchlight games and Diablo 3, but Sacred 2, this is one awesome game that I keep coming back. The world is so well crafted, I keep finding new things each time I play, it's insane!

If you're looking for a massive hack and slash, buy Sacred 1 or Sacred 2... both of this games are awesome open world adventures! Very fun and addictive!

Both Sacred games keep drawing me back too.
So far I find the Steam version with the CM Patch runs really well; better than a retail version I had before.

Agree, Steam version is the best so far, and very reliable!

Do you know the Dark Matters forum?
Great resource for guides and info and advice from veterans...
though you sound like a veteran yourself :)

If I sound like one it means I know it =p Yeah, I have an account there, but, I don't play Sacred 2 in an Hardcore way... kinda casual, but, I still know what I'm doing and want the best character possible, in my own way ^_^ thanks anyway!

I bought the PS3 special edition box too, and really enjoyed it. It was buggy, but slightly less so than the pc version at the time. What I really liked was playing with the controller; I found it a lot easier and more enjoyable to play than with m/kb. I like this Steam version for all the bug fixes, but I wish it supported a controller.
