The only reason i wish i didn't buy this game.
I love these kinds of games and i had planned to play this A LOT. But after 1 day of playing, i realized that every monster in every territory are scaling to match your level! This means that you can run and run to different areas at low level, and if you go back to start they are suddenly as high level as you just like at the end, because of this, it is not as exciting since there is no reason to kill all monsters you meet or doing quests, and barely any feeling of accomplishment when leveling up.

Update: Apparently there is a tiny bit of monster level scaling, HOWEVER i have now completed silver difficulty and can confirm my claim: I just ran and ran skipping all quests and many monsters to finish about level 23

not really no. while they do scale with you there's a tremendous amount of skilling in this game.

not only that, but the old sacred games had a weird memory leak or a error less CTD, so i guess this one will have it too, thats the thing why i dont buy it....

im not saying i didnt love hte game, i frikkin loved it, but this game broke my heart in the early days ,sacred one crashed alot too whe nu had to omany summons, and such, so yeah, i keep lear of this one...... how bad i rly want it ... i keep clear of it .

Correct me if i'm wrong since it's been some years since i've played the game, but while the creatures do lvl with you indeed, different creatures from different areas are much higher lvl than you, so you hit a wall sooner or later and you go back for xp. But from a point yes, you can complete the game without having to be max lvl, though there are many difficulty lvls which you first have to complete the campaign to unlock them, making the game significaly harder. It realy didn't matter all these to me, i loved this game there are so many things, so many good locations and it doesn't take itself seriously:)

not encountered a memory leak in either of the games

A good reason to not buy the game, scaling is ridiculous.
thx op

Enemies in different areas have min/max level caps. Difficulty level and your survival bonus also has an effect on enemy levels.

No you can't.

Are you friggin' serious? Dude, the whole point in this game is to play it not exploit something that was meant to help you! I'm sorry people but this is rediculous and I will state as such.
In my opinion making some good mechanic seem like a bad thing and practicually cheating by using it to get to the end fast isn't a good way to start ♥♥♥♥♥ing about it! If this is your only problem with the game then fine, I dismiss this review as op is an idiot and is pretty sad.

yeah it was a logn time ago ofcourse, and i think it only was in multiplayer, but it rly sucked, sometimes when u dropped a weapon, or a item, or went into a area, it could just go CTD, and lose all character info, or you lsot all items or something, im not sure tbh.....

but i do know, that it was a huuuuge anticlimax, at sacred one, and with two, it think it was the same hahha

Maybe you didn't install the latest patches as for me I didn't get CTD within Sacred 1. And I played it a lot in multiplayer.
Well, maybe because I own the retail version on disks too (both Sacred 1 & 2).
Played the Steam version of Sacred 2 for quite some hours and didn't experience any problems.
Maybe the Steam overlay is causing some problems as the Sacred franchise is a bit old and probably has some issues wth the Steam implementation.

Nevertheless, for €/US$ 3.99 you can't do anything wrong - great game to play

By the way, regarding the fears of crashes or stuff:
There is a community patch that is (afaik) not included in the gold edition but compatible with it.
It adds items and mobs, improves balancing and the stability of the game.

Everything about it here:

The game has to scale. You play through it multiple times to reach max level.

Diablo 3 scales as well.
««-Zero-»» Jul 3 @ 3:42am
So... mobs level as I do - yea... I think I pass this one - don't wanna be weaker at lv100 than level 1....
rocolo Jul 3 @ 3:49am
XP-Mode works fine ...
Jacina Jul 3 @ 5:08am
OP lies. Each zone has different min/max for the mobs, you can not run to the end. Also if you're actually good at the game the game rewards you through the "survival bonus" and makes mobs harder while giving you better stats, this makes the game harder as you don't die more and more, which is perfect.

If you run through you'll die, fast, due to being hopelessly outscaled. Also there are boss mobs blocking progress to the main quest line that you have to kill, they alos have a min/max level so you will HAVE to kill them.

OP is a liar.
Humudu Jul 3 @ 7:20am
No reason for your accusations of lying or being "idiot" I just try to put the facts out there, mainly to be helpful and tell people what they get into before buying it, since i would have wanted to see a post like this before i bought it. I understand that you feel butt-hurt if i mention some of the flaws of your bellowed game, but take it easy alright.

I just know that you can end the game in a low level like 25 or so (at least on bronze or silver difficulty) and that my play through fast became run-run-run ignoring all monsters because otherwise they would grow with me and not become any easier, till it got too boring to run, then i ended here.
