I've never had issues on all three of my PCs that have had it installed. I'd say it's worth it with ease. A lot to do in the game. A ton of side quests and random quests not essential to the plot but give a lot of value/playtime to the game.

It might not be the dream game with a swarm of mods and user made content like skyrim, but it's a solid game.

I've got it both on console (xbox 360, bought it used for $6 US) and PC (original HD version and gold edition via steam), of which Sacred 2 Gold has the expansion Blood Angel which never really made it to US/Canada on console or really for that matter via PC until Gold edition got released via steam for everyone to have access to. I had no remorse on picking it up for abou $7 or something like that. So at $4 it's a decent game to add to your library.

Having to uninstall the current version of Phys X to install some ancient version is a total deal breaker for me. It means in order to play Sacred 2 I will have to break my other Phys X games.

You don't need to do that.

Not true at all.

If you add the community patch 1.4 it runs fantastic.I play for hours on end and have no issues at all.

You will get more fun out of it than with recent Bioware games

It's deffinitely worth $3.99. Bought the retail version when it came out years ago, but got the steam version just for ease of installation and auto-patching. Runs fine for me on Win 7 64bit, i7 quad, dual GTX 580s. As far as game play goes, think of it as a cross between Titan Quest, Divine Divinity, and Diablo. Graphicly, it reminds me most of Titan Quest.

With a bit of elder scrolls too. NPCs wander around, have "conversations", work, go to bed etc. Just cosmetic but it does make the game world feel alive.
