Full Mojo is a roguelike with a marraige between many popular games of the genre, adding together to be something completely unique. Offering multiple campaigns to challenge as well as various collectables and roguelite qualities that cater a huge amount to fans of the genre. This combined with some tongue in cheek humor and lore that sticks very close to its origins adds together to make a most exceptional game, though not without its share of flaws.
Mechanically it is most closely resembling that of Binding of Isaac, with shooting in various directions from a topdown view, but the gameplay more closely resembles that of area shooters like Serious Sam, as you will often be backpedaling away from hordes of enemies, hoping not to get yourself into a corner. This is one of my largest complaints about this game. Since the areas are so large, and the lowliest enemies so quick and devastating to your health, you are almost always relying on luck moreso than skill or patience, and regardless of how high your level and hp, you'll always be backpedalling. This quickly takes away from the fun, as a run can come to a swift and brutal end as your own skill can only take you so far. A cautious approach is reccomended for the earlier levels, as most of the enemies are rather simple, but the farther you go, the trickier they become, and if you trigger too many spawn points, you will easily be overwhelmed by a veritable congaline of enemies. This is by no means a bad thing, as it demands some forethought, but sometimes after you beat a particularly brutal boss, your day can be ruined by some cheaply spawned exploding enemies, and you'll have to start alllllllllllllllllllll over again.
Thankfully, all coins and experience carry over, so you're not completely bankrupt, but this is a twitchy game, and if you aren't one for twitch gameplay, steer clear, for you don't have many other options. Otherwise, this gem in the rough is definitely worth your attention.
