the better way to go, if you're a diehard Papyrus racer and have the money, also time for train etc. for sure, and by this point, is "iracing.com" I'd guess.
But this game is great imo and fun, I like it, even in it's current beta stage ... the beta in my opinion is better as any EA thunder series and also NASCAR SimRacing .
..
Support the developers and buy this thing, Sir! ... the last offical NASCAR game on the PC was the EA fail SimRacing, back in '05 with bugs that even the inoffical patch by the devs couldn't sort out....
I don't know, but if this game get's a community and more PC Players, maybe the devs listen to us and make this game even better... I hope they'll go a little more into controller/wheel! support and fix some stuff. :)
For now and my opinion is, the money is well spent.
Give it a chance!
could not say any better then this and i still till the day i got this played sim racing does need some tuning but it is beta stage...
The sense of speed seems about right. The force feedback is not as precise as NR2003 or Iracing with my G27.
I like the game and think it is well worth the money. My biggest grip is that the cockpit view is low res and really needs to be improved.
NR2003 is still the gold standard of stock car sims, and any major NASCAR fan should hvae it installed.
iRacing.com had potential to be awesome, but the devs alienated the real world drivers by refusing to listen to them when it came to physics. iRacing is in no way realistic right now and many people are planning a mass exodus of sorts over there.
I would compare NTG2013 in its current state to most rFactor NASCAR mods. It's okay in the right circumstances.
The problem with iRacing right now is that the vocal minority on the forums are full of guys who can't drive and complain about physics without any real world knowledge. So the devs try to change how the game drives to suit joe blow, and then all of the real world drivers are like "what the hell are you doing?"
iRacing is horrible right now, and this is coming from a two time champion over there.
Many to be found here..there is actually 2 cockpit views.. wheel and dash..

Only way to drive! Game has great sense of speed this way.. even at beta its a fun fun game!
NR2003 is awesome without a doubt. I think NTG2013 is better than any of the rFactor mods I have tried. It seems to have potential to be a really good game if all the bugs are worked out. As is I think it is a lot of fun and for sure in my mind is the best NASCAR game with single player since NR2003.
I will never badmouth NR2003; it has a ton of mods and graphic updates that have kept it fresh. I have spent more time in NR2003 than any other PC game I have owned since I first got a PC in the early 90's. I paid $9.95 for my copy from Wal-Mart about six months after it came out. Before that NASCAR Heat was my favorite.
Even if this game is not up to NR2003 standards I think it is worth the purchase price.
