10 EUR for the new features?

Incorporate something similar to JonoF's (free) Shadow Warrior engine port into a game that is (free) on Steam ---> sell game for 10 EUR ?

It's an upgraded an finished port unlike JFSW. SWP is also unfinished with the latest build having a save problem.

This has Steamworks features with a brand new theme tune with the addons integrated (Yes they are free).

If you want any features, please post in the sub forum :)

Devolver also released the free classic version right here on steam. So can't say money grab. Just play that one if you don't want this.

I dont understand how its a money grab when they offer almost the same game for free? If you dont want to pay they have given you the option not to! I for one bought it straight away, it has some minor tweaks, like widescreen etc, (And I think the expansion packs as well). I get to support one of my favourite developers and at the same time get a better done version of an awesome game!

I can attest to that. I've tried finishing the entire game with both JFSW and SWP. I couldn't even get the first one to run, it's incompatible with 64bit OS. The latter has a particularly nasty save bug which corrupts all your saves. This remake is welcome and i'll probably purchase it soon.

He is actually slowly updating his ports. If you check the repositories (or whatevery they are called) they have been getting minor updates.

There is nothing stopping anyone from running the addons with the free version on Steam :)

The whole thing is, the free version is known to about 5% of the people who will see the front-page treatment of the paid version. I think we can all do the math from there.

Devolver is certainly not making me inclined to buy the new SW game by first teasing a free game, then dropping this 10-EUR baby.

I could just be easily annoyed, who knows. Just speaking my mind.
