So much Nostalgia.
Duke Nukem was one of the very first video games that i played at the age of 5 years old. I grew up with it and have played it for many many countless hours. I still prefer to boot up the classic then play the "new" version. Does anyone else have this feeling for the game or is just me?

I dare not even go near the abortion Duke Nukem Forever, as i fear that it will ruin the Duke Nukem universe for me.

I also played Duke Nukem 3D at a low age, my first memory was at three years old. But I disagree with you about having nostalgia for the classic version. I load it up every once in awhile, mainly to test a speed run route to see which versions it works on. But I never enjoy playing the classic, it feels terrible compared to today's standards. My nostalgia hit is whenever I play Hollywood Holocaust. When I was a kid, I never beat Red Light District I never figured out where the vent was to continue past the strippers, so my entire time playing the game I only ever saw the first two levels, but only beat the first. I played the first level with my Dad countless times, so the level will always have a special place with me.

As for Duke Nukem Forever, I actually liked playing it. Don't get me wrong, the game's really bad, but it felt like closure after following the project for so many years.

I rarely boot up the classic version but last time i did i had such a fanboy gasm.

I don't know when i started playing Duke3D but it was of an early age as well, i think the first copy we picked up was at a flea market so it was post 1996.

But we got home and started playing and it was awesome! i think i played at 5 years old as well so it was probably 1997 at the earliest.

I remember playing online on kali and playing lan with my brother. good ol' memories. That's why i hope for polymost being added to the game to fix some of the lighting issues that DN3D:ME has, it just lacks the atmosphere and classic graphical quality that Duke3D had.

I also played Duke Nukem 3D at a low age, my first memory was when I popped out of my mumma's womb. As I popped out I did a somersault and landed in a perfect crossed legged indian position on my smooth baby bottom only to be face to face with my MacOs. Of course I naturally knew how to use the computer, and my thirst for alien blood and tipping strippers developed all before I was a wee little embryo created by my mumma's egg and my poppa's sperm.

Oh good times, good times.

EDIT: Also I had full blonde locks of hair and sunglasses when I was born.

I must admit, my hand eye coordination was not fully developed at the time so it only took me a modest 5 months to beat the entire four episodes. And the first time I did, I had such a babygasm. This was possible because my sexual libido was already functioning quite well due to my thirst for alien blood and tipping strippers which I acquired a taste for before I was but a wee little embryo created by my mumma's egg and my poppa's sperm.

I actually liked "Duke Nukem Forever" and its "Doctor Who Cloned Me" DLC, and i've come up with some helpful tips-and-tricks using the 4-weapon limit

I enjoyed DNF also. When i got the game I went in knowing exactly what it was going to be. And I had no qualms with some of the 'problems'. I enjoyed it with that mindset.

and what makes me laugh, is how Gearbox received tons of backlash from fans about the game itself, when yet, it was 3DRealms who kept delaying it over-and-over, while Gearbox just merely finished what the other guys didn't

And also Gearbox helped FINISH the game, most of the game was made by 3D Realms anyway.

Hmmm. So what i am hearing is that DNF can't really spoil the DN experience then? Is it really worth giving it a go?

Yes, especially if you grab it for Xbox 360 or Playstation 3, you can get a copy of it for those systems for $5.

My first Duke game was Duke Nukem: Zero Hour on the N64. First game I ever played.:boot:

It amazes me how I remember EVERY secret place in the game, not having played it for at least 13 years

I first played to PSX version of this game when i was 5 age. God, the music was so amazing...I still love PSX soundtrack from Duke Nukem Total Meltdown. But first one Protozoid Slimer that came up on my screen made me scream
