Multiplayer before QuakeCon perhaps?

I know myself and countless others would love nothing more than to easily be able to play some D3D deathmatch while at QuakeCon which starts next Thurs. If it could be released in time for that you guys could pick up a ton of sales and make for a memorable multiplayer launch.

Next Thursday as in July 26, or next Thursday as in August 2? They're currently planning to release in July, so if it's the latter than you should be good to go.

if the update was really coming out in july like they said they would have posted something about it by now, I mean just think of how many sales they lost during the steam sale because of it.

Just had to put my two cents in before mod locks the thread and directs us to a place we cant ♥♥♥♥♥ about it. I'll take that bet lol. Aint no way they will release it before the end of the month. If they were going to then they would have added all that stuff from the last patch to it and released it all at once. THANKS DEVOLVER!

I think the Steam sales did very well when Megaton was on Flash Sale :)

Look, the thread was doing fine until you people decided to come in and bad mouth the developers as usual. The original poster was asking about the multiplayer before Quakecon so it could be played there.

Well I partly agree a bit more updating of how its going would save a lot of bad talk and at that point there would be a small amount of understanding if it ran just a little late. I feel myself the undertaking of this project has to have turned out to be a LOT more challenging then expected.
And who was the dummy that wants to play duke at his enenies house, really? That would be like asking john romero to be a host at the quake games. sorry if I spelled johns name wrong.

Your argument doesn't make any sense seeing as how Romero was pretty involved at id during development of the first Quake :)

Also, even diehard Quake fans mostly all love Duke. D3D was the first multiplayer FPS I played along with many others. Plenty of Wolf 3D and Doom but never had anyone to deathmatch with until D3D-era.
