So what was your favourite gun to use in Duke Nukem? mine was and always is the shrinker.

I think the expander is a better version than the shrinker. The shotgun is fantastic. The devastator makes you feel awesome. I love the rocket launcher a lot. Finally, the freeze ray just because I love shattering my enemies.

its a good tool to use to clear out rooms or to maker sure the troopers and captins stay dead.

it's quite funny as hell when you activate a HoloDuke to fool a bunch of OctaBrains, only to see them bunch up and making themselves easy targets to the Shrinker (especially when you "shrink" up to 4 or more of them at a time [best done on the Bank Roll and Tier Drops levels])

All the guns have probably been my favorite at some point, ATM it's probably the freezer. It's powerful, looks cool and is satisfying to kill with.

I use my weapons according to what situation.. Like a surgeon selecting the right tools for the job.

Shredder for crowds, rockets for battlelords or crowds also. Shrinker for assault commanders or pesky enforcer crowds. Shotgun is a very good choice for almost every situation... Freezer is great for shooting around corners. Devastator for feeling totally badass :)

Fun Fact Trivia: The Battlelord mini boss was supposedly immune to the shrink ray (probably due to a poor interaction between the shrink ray's small blast radius (made small so that players couldn't accidentally shrink themselves when firing at point blank) and the Battlelord's large dimensions) but I could usually land a successful hit if I fired while crouching.

same thing with OctaBrains as well. Because the numerous times where i've played this game, the Shrinker would sometimes hit them while i'm standing with no effect on them, and would often clip right through them.


However, like the mini-Battlelord, if fire while crouched-down, it'll shrink them instantly.
