Is it working for you, guys?
I'm using a Mac, don't know if it's because of that (I think the mutiplayer will work cross-platform) or just because the multiplayer for this game. Any hint?
How about DeathMatch? Can somebody try and tell me if there's people playing?
Thanks!
What Doktor said about Meltdown does seem to contradict this though... I guess I'll buy the Steam version, and if we have lag issues, I'll try loading the data files into EDuke32 and connect through Meltdown or YANG. If we have to fall back to this, at least it won't be a wasted purchase as EDuke32 can use the game files from Steam.
Does this sound feasible?
I've only really played co-op on the steam version so far, tbh when I saw that they was adding multiplayer support to Megaton I was expecting to see hundreds of servers, I don't really know why the server list is empty 90% of the time.. I thought Duke was more popular then that
No no, I wasn't saying that at all I meant, your experience suggests Duke is not quite like other games in this regard, and perhaps the netcode needs further refinement. This is why I was thinking about a contingency plan.
