Best Episode
What do you think the Best Episode in the game is and why?
I think L.A. Meltdown was my favorite. The enviroments are awesome and the beginning level is really nostalgic for me.

"The Birth" from the classic 4 episodes, because every level is a piece of art. From the expansions my favourite is the "Duke it Out in D.C.", it has many cool places and the secret level is fantastic.

Lunar Apocalypse. It was a return to form for the Duke Nukem I knew (for the most part).

It also has a ton of blue :D

First, The Level Design Is Classic,Comprehensible And easy but not too easy for some levels.

Ep 3 (sharpnel city) or whatever it's called,
I like it because it's always been a difficult one for me.

Ep 2 i don't like the face hugger enemies just because their annoying,
Ep1 (la meltdown) is good though - I like the second mission (red light district)
I don't like how you have to start again with collecting weapons in the prison mission though.

My favorite episode is episode 3, Sharpnel City. I think it has the best urban places and most fun multiplayer maps. And there are my favorite levels in this episode (Fahrenheit and Hotel Hell).

Episode 1 for me. I feel as though the level design for it felt more original and ambitious overall, with touches of conceptual grandness.

I think episode 2 is the least liked episode, probably due to the facehuggers, sentry drones, as well as overall generic (i.e not readily recognisable, especially compared to the rest of the game) locations. Most of the other episode's map are quite distinct, while episode 2's seem to blur together. Then again some people love ep 2.

probably the "Shrapnel City" episode, with "Hollywood Holocaust" in a close 2nd place

Duke it Out in DC is the best, IMO. After that, either Shrapnel City or Lunar Apocalypse.

Lunar Apocalypse, hands down. You're on space stations and moon bases and away from the boring city stuff.

Also, the first level of it is really well-designed. You can find every weapon in the game except the freezethrower and laser trip mines (and on Dukematch, those too).

Also E2L7 has the best level music in the game.

well you can thank Randy Pitchford for those maps, as he designed them and the maps for "Shadow Warrior" during his tenure at 3DRealms

If we're counting the expansions, I think I enjoyed Life's a Beach the most. I mean, it wouldn't seem as cool and fresh if not for coming after the other main stuff, but I liked all the detail and the colors and life it has in it. The little changes to everything, even if it's just reskinning most of the assets, feels like they were done with care. The themes of levels were pretty nicely done. I just enjoyed it a whole lot.
