speaking of trading cards......
is anyone else surprised, that you don't get anymore trading cards if 100% all of the achievements?

Trading cards drops are not related to achievements in any way as far as I know.

that's where i'm getting at. it would be something fresh to add, if players (if they're new to this game) would get trading cards if they 100% all of the achievements

To be honest, trading cards are really just quick cash grabs for developers. If they kept giving you cards over time, you could craft to the max badge and not spend a penny on it, which they want you to do.

did you mean booster pack?

either one, whether it's a booster pack, or a single card

How do the publishers (the ones that get all of the money from the sales of a game) get money from trading cards? o.O I mean some people can be more inclined to buy a game if it has trading cards, but that's about it imo.

Because when you sell a card on the market, part of the money goes to the developers (and part to Valve).

I always thought the money goes only to Valve for maintaining a market and didn't find any info anywhere that part of the money goes to the publishers also. Well, you learn something every day I guess.
Even if, I did a little counting, just out of boredom :)
19 Duke Nukem cards and 8 booster packs are sold on the market per day approximately. Approximate price for one card is 20 cents, fees for one card are 2 cents, which makes a total of 38 cents as fees every day (using the same method, they make 40 cents for booster packs from fees per day). If Valve is splitting the gain with publishers (which I still kinda doubt but I'll respect being proven wrong) 50:50, that makes it total of 39 cents per day for the publishers.

tl;dr - Publishers (maybe) make approximately $2.73 for trading cards + booster packs per week. Wow, what a quick cash grab ;D

You can see when you buy a typically cheap-sellling item, that 1c goes to the developer, and 1c to Valve.

So FURTHER encoraging the "achievment ♥♥♥♥♥" people, who buy games for achievments only?...no. Just....no. no no no. I can see awful things coming from that

It says where the money for buying/selling the cards go when you set up the transaction.

and why not? You ever watch those RoosterTeeth guys on YouTube, who actually get paid to play video games (i'd kill to have a job like that)??? Well part of their job is unlocking achievements for various games
