Can I run DK3D without Steam open?
At least the original DOS version? It being DRM free makes it easier to use other source ports like EDuke32 and total conversion mods (if there are any). At least Ithink so. DOOM is DRM free but I wonder if it would be possible to run it if I needed Steam to be open.

Since the Multiplayer is Steam integrated and other Steam integration, the main game and it's addons can't be run DRM free at the moment. The classic version runs in DOSBox and is effectively DRM free.

You can also use the game data (grps) with a source port for another DRM free experience.
