A beautiful platformer.
Brothers- A Tale of two sons is a 3D platformer developed by starbreeze studios.
The story is simple, yet it is conveyed perfectly. You play as two brothers who are tasked to retrieve some medicine for their sick dying father. In order to do so, they will have to cross giant bridges, bloody graveyards, giant oceans and meet a variety of colourful characters. Through out the story you will feel a variety of emotions including joy, happiness, wonder, fear, amazement and sadness. There is no voice acting in the game, and honestly there doesn't need to be as you can understand what the characters are saying through their actions.
The game will last you 3 hours or a bit more if you want to collect all achievements and explore a bit. There isn't much replayability to be had here.
Gameplay revolves around a mix between platforming and puzzle solving. Bearing in mind that you NEED A CONTROLLER to play this game, the controls are quite good. You control the movement of one brother with the left analogue stick and another with the right stick. It might seem tricky at first, trying to control both the brothers at the same time, but after a while you will get the hang of it.
The graphics are cartoony and good to look at. The lighting does a great job at making the colours more attractive to the eye. There are also p[enty of scenes that look so good that you want to take screenshot of as well.
I highly recommend this game to people you want to a rememberable adventure with a few platforming and puzzles thrown in.
